Is this even rare? Maybe over the course of a full season but it seems like his might happen fairly often to marginal teams in a weak division that get blown out by everyone outside of their division.

Meaningless stat is meaningless.

I've watched every single bears game. That offense is farking atrocious but they've pulled out enough points from great field position and 1 fantastic quarter from Foles.

I warned my buddies not to trust in Foles but they swear a SB MVP QB can't be anything but good. Being a Colts fan, River's hasnt been much better.

Bills are negative because of the lopsided loss to the Titans. Bears and Bills are -4 and -2 respectively. That's really not that bad with both having 2 losses and having 0 division losses (1-0 Bears, 3-0 Bills). The Browns however, are -21, and got blown out by two teams in their division (2-2) by a combined score of 76-13.

I'd put money on the Bills to do well way before I put money on the other two.  The Bears have to deal with the Packers and the Patriots aren't what they used to be.

There are no style points in the NFL. The only thing that matters is that win.

Once they get all healthy again, I think they'll be a force late in the season. Josh is still a Top 10 QB by a variety of stats, and #1-#5 in a variety of others.

Not even for a club tie, firm handshake, a certain look in the eye and an easy smile?

Don't forget one quarter from Trubisky against the Lions where he looked....actually good.

The Saints don't look that great this year, either, but the Bears are such a Mess right now I'd be very surprised if they managed to beat New Orleans.

A chance to post one of my favorite stats... this is regarding the 1960 WS.

the Yankees scored 55 runs, the most runs scored by any one team in World Series history, and more than twice as many as the Pirates, who scored 27. The Yankees won three blowouts (16-3, 10-0, and 12-0), while the Pirates won four close games (6-4, 3-2, 5-2, and 10-9) to win the series.

/not sure what this means here but there you go
//a yankee elimination 60 years ago is still a yankee elimination
///go buccos, we're tied for 1st right now

Ow! That was my feelings!: Meaningless stat is meaningless.

It's not meaningless. Point differential is one of the best indicators of future performance. If, on average, you get outscored by your opponent, you're probably going to lose more games in the future.

It's only meaningful with context of who they played and how close the final scores were. A single blowout can drastically change that statistic.
