I'm sure there ia an innocent explanation here...

fta: ""We have the left stealing votes left and right. It's just a matter of getting a grand jury to come in and investigate which they will once Trump is re-elected," she added."

See?

Dems are doing it so the GOP *have* to cheat in order to be fair.

Anything further?..

Guess we are done here.

Well if Texasscorecard.com says so it must be true.

If the box is in the GOP head quarters, are they mostly stealing GOP votes?

2020-10-28 8:21:54 AM
It's not like any democrats would leave ballots there anyway.  If they don't deliver them they won't help the GOP much.

I think it's stupid what the GOP is doing of course but unless they are planting these things in democratic areas it shouldn't have an impact.

At any rate, people vote and drop your ballot at a real site.

Muta: If the box is in the GOP head quarters, are they mostly stealing GOP votes?

I was thinking the same thing. What Biden voter is going to drop off there vote there?  Plus, throw out all votes they had for Trump

2020-10-28 8:22:55 AM
I want to vote for Joe Biden. I think I will turn my ballot in at this pop-up "Trump Store". 👍

2020-10-28 8:23:09 AM
So the California GOP has put out illegal ballot collecting boxes. The state said "stop that". The GOP said "No". And the state did nothing.

Is that correct?

2020-10-28 8:24:13 AM
The good news here is that they won't have the opportunity to tamper with any votes for Biden - the only people who are stupid enough to drop a ballot off at a 'trump store' were already voting for trump.

The bad news is that any f*ckery involving ballots is unacceptable. My best guess for the end game of this idiocy is that they're going to "find" a bunch of ballots in a dumpster right after the election, point out how they're all trump votes, and allege the election results were invalid because the libs were throwing out republican votes. It won't play well in California and won't change their electors, but it sure as hell will be used as "evidence" of "election fraud" when trump turns sore loser and tries to rile up his idiot base nationwide.

2020-10-28 8:26:11 AM
In Texas, I couldn't even drop my dad's ballot off at the official ballot box made for drop offs. In my mind, it was going to be walk through the door and drop it in a box. In reality, they wouldn't take it without him dropping it off or me having his drivers license.

It would be kind of sweet if California threw all of those ballots out. Anyone using a Trump "store", we probably know who the votes are for.

2020-10-28 8:27:12 AM
Whaaaaaat the fark.

Guys, this isn't how you do elections.
In a developed nation a federal election authority oversees and operates all polling places. That's it, no 'unofficial' drop boxes, poll watchers, rapists, or Methodists.
Only a cracker Jack banana republic would allow third party ballot drops.

And lay a foundation for a narrative about how 'The election was flawed and doesn't count'

"getting a grand jury to come in and investigate"

That'll be a novel experience for the Judge and Grand Jury members.

2020-10-28 8:28:57 AM
And once again, when the GOP brazenly violates the law, no one is arrested.  This is why the country is in the state it's in.

My prediction about the election remains unchanged:

Biden will win in a landslide and the Republican leadership will be fine with this, as they must turn Trump to his final use as scapegoat, as well as allow a Democrat to clean up some of the mess of the last four years.

However, they will still commit little bits of electoral rat-f*ckery here and there so as to delegitimize Biden just enough to elect, four years from now, another Republican who remembers to say the Quiet parts quiet.

Doesn't that mean that the ballot boxes are okay?  Or can you only hand them to a person but not stick them in a box at some property?  Just not clear on the distinction.

Pretty sure the law requires you to designate who you are giving it to.  There is a line in the article about having to man the drop box at all times for it to be in any way legitimate.

Depends. In Texas, only one dropoff box is allowed per county (no matter the population). And what better place to control the vote if the box is held by Republicans?
