(The Daily Beast)   Trump threatened Pennsylvania while IN Pennsylvania. "Your Governor made it almost impossible for us to find any site for this event, I'm going to remember it, Tom. 'Hello, Mr. President, this is Gov. Wolf, I need help.' You know what? No, No help"   (thedailybeast.com) divider line

um, last I checked - Governor Wolf's approval ratings were still in the mid 50's. people here in the Commonwealth generally still like the guy and realize he's been doing what he can to get us through this crisis. he hasn't been perfect, but he's done his best to keep us safe. sure the idiots on facebook scream about him ("he's a dictator!"), but honestly those folks are nuts and are the reason the virus is surging again here.

and if Wolf was doing such a horrible job, the Democrats wouldn't have a chance to take back the state House next week, despite the severe gerrymandering that happened here in 2010.

plus Mr. President - Tom Wolf easily won reelection last time he ran. I doubt you'll be able to say that yourself next week. perhaps you should have asked him for some advice...

He won't need those 20 electoral votes. Sheesh, Libs. Get a grip. Pennsylvania now knows that it's up there with Puerto Rico and California on Donnie's Sh*t List. THIS IS BEING PUT ON NOTICE FOR WHY THEY AREN'T GOING TO GET JACK FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS, LIBS!

Third thought, could he ever get an audience to chant "lock us up!"

This is so important. Obviously winning the presidency is the top priority, but this is a redistricting year, and control of state legislatures is going to decide what Congress looks like for the next 10 years.

They did. They cheered in whatever the f*ck state he said he wanted to get in the big truck and drive the hell out of there, they cheered in the state where he said he never wanted to be there but he's losing so he had to, they cheered in the state where he didn't know what state he was in.

They would cheer if he said, "You people disgust me! You're only worth your vote and what little taxes you pay! She was right - you ARE deplorable! I don't care if you die!"

Having watched that die off, you pay out of pocket to clean up their mess. Then say fraking will save you. Now you have flammable water, and the money's gone. Hmm.
The entire time you were being threatened, you were also being poisoned, and impoverished. And thought you were being saved.

You forgot lumber.
And ice.

And that profit over all else is not a uniquely Pennsylvanian phenomenon. Nor a republican one. Nor a democratic one.

And that citizens rarely get to truly decide what exemptions industries are allowed within their states' borders.

The US of A is full of stupid states trying to overcome stupid decisions by stupid leadership. PA ain't special, and while I've lived here the longest and consider myself a Pennsylvanian, it ain't my home state.

And your "prosecution rests" endnote makes me think you've had a sh*t day, maybe had a little too much to drink, and needed a quick internet win.

That's cool. You got it. I filter my water even for my pets. You're right.

PA is Biden's old stomping grounds even though he's been in Delaware for donkey's years.

He's the native son in this picture.

Trump knows PA going to him in 2016 was huge and pretty much needs to be repeated in 2020 if he is to even have a chance.

Ergo he has visited there himself a lot and sent a load of proxies.

Trump will not win PA in 2020.

This. When historians and survivors of the Nazis are pointing out the similarities between Trump and Hitler (as they have been for years), then Godwin's law is kind of not an issue.

It's kind of amazing to see what happens when a president places sanctions on American states. These kinds of moves are normally applied to dictators or uncooperative oil-rich countries.  In this election campaign, Trump voters are actually voting for sanctions to be placed on themselves, for the actions of their governors. And thanks to Covid, those sanctions are basically as deadly as the starvation sanctions that democracy imposes on dictatorships. I am so saddened to hear about this rally. I hope you Farkers from Pennsylvania can flee to a safer state, like Maryland or Vermont or New York.
