This is the kind of information that could get you killed.

I am a cookie maker deluxe, anyone needing recipes for any kind of cookie A-Z just ask. Little secret about this recipe, substitue melted butter for the veg. oil and the cookies will taste better.

<ricci> Are they made from real girl scouts? </ricci>

Samoas are Caramel DeLites, just made by a different baker. The two cookies are slightly different, but the concept (pure freakin' love in a box) is the same.

Sally - I STILL WANT THE NAME BACK! I liked the fact that I was eating people from another country!!!
2002-02-03 12:55:32 PM
Next time I go into WAL-MART and they're standing right at the entrance to sell me some I should bring in the recepie and threaten to tape it to the door so everyone can copy it down for themselves hehehe.
2002-02-03 01:08:21 PM
Price-gouging??! They're $3 a box!!
2002-02-03 01:10:01 PM
Jimmy Hoffa tried to pass out his home-baked thin-mints at his last Teamster's meeting.
2002-02-03 01:11:44 PM
Just learn the secret girl scout handshake. Then you can get all the cookies you want for free.....
2002-02-03 01:21:41 PM
I can the follow up to is article tomorrow: "topsecret shutdown by order of GSA and its creator nowhere to be found"
2002-02-03 01:33:44 PM
Jesus, people, this is pathetic. The cookies are just $3/box, and it's for the damn Girl Scouts. The cookies aren't even that cookielicious and hardly worth cloning, but I buy a couple boxes every year just because I remember what it was like to hustle junk food as a fundraising thing. Remember, these are the same girls many of you enjoy seeing naked on webcams, so support them, you heartless, heartless Farkers!!!
2002-02-03 01:40:28 PM
I prefer the vanilla ones.
2002-02-03 01:45:43 PM
Waita sec. Samoas aren't Samoas anymore? Noo!
2002-02-03 02:03:36 PM
I was kicked out of the Cub Scouts for eating Brownies.
2002-02-03 02:29:22 PM
Cut and paste, to lazy to code. Sauswage.
2002-02-03 02:30:48 PM
Sauswage: did you really want the shortbread?

The cool of this site is negated by their recipe for Boston Market's Meatloaf. What were they thinking?

2002-02-03 02:47:07 PM
I don't give a rats ass about Thin Mints or Shortbread, I want farking Samoaes.
2002-02-03 02:54:05 PM
My only problem with it is I haven't even been accosted by them yet this year!!! WHERE THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO BUY THOSE GODDAMNED GOOD ASS COOKIES?!?!?!?!

Samoaes are what I want. So long as the cookies don't change, the name could say "Pure ass in a box, you homo nazi Jello boy lover" and I'd still buy them.
2002-02-03 03:20:59 PM
Hurray! They have exposed the soup nazi!
2002-02-03 03:31:30 PM
I had some Girl scout cokkies when I was in the Boy scouts.

2002-02-03 03:37:00 PM
Peaceboy: did you read the article that this one is a followup to? Basically, the Boston scouts are jacking up the price per box. So before you get all high and mighty about releasing the recipe, think about the extortion first.
2002-02-03 03:59:07 PM
Two of those little girls came by my house the other day. No price increase. $3. Love those Ohio girlscouts. 4 boxes of thin mints and 2 caramel delights. Waiting patiently.
2002-02-03 04:08:35 PM
Here's a great substitution for those Samoa cookies:

Little Debbie Brand German Chocolate Cookie Rings!

They are bigger, softer, and taste close enough for me! And they are damned good when zapped in the microwave for a few seconds.

2002-02-03 04:18:26 PM
Fudd, I was being more smartass (what, you didn't like my big finish? The German judge did) than high-and-mighty (!), it's my frequent Farkjoy, but that previous article says this: "You are just giving us a donation of $4. We're just offering you a nice memento back" and "the council needed more money, says Kane, to maintain such programs as summer camps and a computer clubhouse".... my point was (after you filter out the smartassedness), the money, $3 or $4, ain't about the cookies, and I found the whole "secret-recipe-divulgence" thing humorously preposterous, like "let's screw them". Now, more importantly, let's hope I closed all my tags.

Ah, so you're looking for the actual *SAMOANS*, ECP. That, I cannot help ya with.

But this all reminds me of the classic stupid Girl Scout/Boy Scout joke...why did the boy scout get kicked out? For eating a Brownie...

duh duh *chic*

So this is what Fark is these days.

Cookie receipe message board.

Not yet D'dad... At least it won't be that until someone actually posts a recipe... like this one...

'The Cookies of Doom'

2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour (Or use 2 cups of Flour and 1/4 cup of Almond meal, if you happen to have it around-)
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 sticks Butter (softened)
3/4 cup White Sugar
3/4 cup Brown Sugar (light or dark)
2 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Almond Extract
2 Eggs (large, room temp)
1 3/4 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate (chips or chunks... I like chunks)
1 1/2 cup Walnuts or Almonds (chopped)
1 3/4 cups Toffee bits

1) Preheat your oven to 375.

2) Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda. (Cut in the almond meal after sifting, if you're using it-)

3) Cream the brown sugar, white sugar, butter,
vanilla, and almond extract together.
(Use a mixer, this stuff gets thick once the flour
and "stuff" goes in!)

4) Add the eggs one at a time.

5) Add the flour mixture a little at a time until it's all incorporated.

6) Add the chocolate, the nuts, and the toffee a cup at a time, mixing well after each.

7) Let the dough rest at room temp for about ten minutes.

8) Drop by the tablespoon onto parchment-paper lined cookie sheets.
(Definitely use the parchment! These get REALLY sticky as the toffee melts-)

9) Bake for around 9 minutes.

10) Let them cool on the pan for a minute or two, then move them to a baking rack.

- One batch of dough will make about 50 people really like you.
