EqualOpportunityEnslaver: Most of the familiar faces from the early days have unfortunately vanished - it's a damn shame

Still rather be here than that dark "R" place.

EqualOpportunityEnslaver: Earguy: Not even 100 comments? I remember getting a MCTHFG for making the 2008th post. I guess things ebb and flow.

The double dunza days are bordering on "distant legend" at this point. These threads rarely go past a couple hundred anymore and even major ppvs don't reach 1004 anymore. We can blame some of that on the product quality during the pandemic, but the post count had fallen off precipitously prior to that. Most of the familiar faces from the early days have unfortunately vanished - it's a damn shame

I've been saying this for a long time now, the fWc is dead.  Most of the time it's just the same 4/5 people having a conversation with themselves and Wednesday nights are worse, that's captain steroid and isamudyson only, odd for such a "revolutionary" new promotion

I hate to say it but I really enjoy these threads, if not for the actual show but for the fact I get to communicate with other people at the moment. Since a lot of stuff isn't happening right now, this is pretty much my outlet for all the stress I have to manage dealing with my dad's health & mom too (at times). So if it's 10 people in here, 20, 50 or just 3, I'll take it.

Once they ran the females out of here, the place died.

Agreed that that's a big part of it - Tenor and Wiz were both good for 50-100 posts each every show, and a decent chunk of what they were posting was funny and/or insightful rather than just filler

Has anyone seen Tenor or Wiz in a while anywhere on the site? I know Auntie is still bopping around and drops in now & then, but the other too just vanished. Hope they are OK.

I saw Wiz had posted in a thread I was scrolling through a couple weeks back, but that's about it. I, too, hope that they're doing well. And all of the other missing contributors, too.

Same.

Politics, social media and pretty much everything else on the internet is toxic and taxing.  All the other real sports leagues have been posturing and pandering (My opinion).

I just wanna watch wrestling and unwind.

I like to biatch about the quality of the wrasslin programs, but I'm with you as far as just like having it on to unwind.

Agreed! Otherwise, I might have to start actually playing my ever growing pile of games. Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV hits tomorrow & I have been saving the series up to play in one big run thru (most likely starting after my surgery next week). If not it's just another one for the stack.

Tenor still posts on Twitter somewhat regularly as do many of the old guard. I've seen Wiz and Auntie in some random threads I've scrolled through.
Only reason I haven't been around is I'm usually working while the shows are on and have to catch up on the DVR later in the week. Only reason I'm somewhat here tonight is I took the night off.

Think there are a few more people posting on Wednesday nights than just Captain Steroid and isamudyson... hell, it's probably the best night for these threads as far as participation is concerned.

He may have confused the Wednesday threads with any of the NJPW ones.

/sad but true

BTW, it seems I was right complaining about the end of RAW as it continued to go for about 30 seconds & Drew tried to pull a Seth and went after Randy's eye, just with a pen this time.
