Both are unacceptable to Coronavirus, as they have both limited gathering capability and the ability to open the windows. Nothing short of a disused, moldy ballroom with tagged-out A/C units filled to the brim with anti-maskers will suffice. A Trump rally, worst case.

Republicans, circa January 21st 2021: Why hasn't President Biden done anything to stop the Coronavirus? He can't just keep blaming China and refusing to take responsibility. Dems have really bungled this up.

2020-10-26 3:54:44 PM
We've known this since farking March and those (thankfully) short-lived press-only rallies at the White House where the Braying Jackass insisted that COVID would just disappear like a miracle and that it was totally under control while forcing state governments to compete for PPE and other supplies.

He had already surrendered and was trying to profit off the resulting destruction.

While you people have (foolishly) ignored my proposal to wrap Mark Meadows in chickenwire and towing him out to sea, perhaps you will entertain the idea of wrapping him with barbed wire then yanking it off so he spins like a top? No?

Well, think about it. That's all I ask. Maybe you'll change your mind.

its like nascar.  we've rounded more corners than i can count.  had some highs, some lows, some caution laps, a few crashes, made a pit stop, and now we're heading out to round the corner again...
and noone watching can even tell us if we're in the second half yet unless they have a cheat sheet.

Surrendering would require having fought in the first place, wouldn't it?

Assholes.  Shy of demanding everyone tongue bathe strangers and lick hospital handrails, it's hard to imagine how they could have done more to _fuel_ the deaths and destruction.

230,779 dead Americans.  SO FAR.

And we're still more than a week away from even beginning to hope to begin to hope to begin doing something about it... months from now.

Thanks, MAGAts.  GFY (but sign a DNR and full denial of care AMA first).

Yep, and remarkably they're not saying what they're doing, what they're trying, what's new. "What we're doing obviously doesn't work, and we're not doing anything else! That's not surrender!"

Yes, they did.

And then they opened up and pretended COVID didn't exist any more and suddenly things have gotten really bad.

Had they stuck with masks & social distancing and partial lockdowns then they would still be winning.  Instead they let their hubris over an incomplete victory lead them down the path to potential disaster.

There's a lesson in here and it isn't "we should fully re-open everything like Donnie wants"

And don't forget the hundreds of thousands of deaths and months of shutdown and chaos that we all suffered from the first SARS and MERS.

But plague rats definitely need a safe platform.  Apparently.

Be careful moving those goalposts. Hospitals are running out of beds due to the spike in COVID cases and they might not be able to help you if you hurt yourself. You're not as young as you used to be and those goalposts are heavier than they look.

I don't care. It's clear that no one in the Trump administration can be trusted to actually protect the people, so I'll protect myself - as should you. You know what you need to do - you may not like it, you may find it difficult, you may balk at the requirements or the potential isolation, but you still know what you need to do. It's time to farking doi it.

Stay home, if at all possible. If you can't stay home, wear a mask, practice social distancing, and carry hand sanitizer with you. If you have to bring stuff back home, practice sterile procedure. If you have to let people who don't live in your home into your home, ensure that they wear a mask, practice social distancing, and use hand sanitizer.

Don't be "paranoid," but do be aware of the risks involved, especially if you or anyone with whom you're in regular contact is in one of the high-risk groups. Don't be fearful; be responsible. You are now responsible not just for your own health, but for the health of those for whom you love & care. Don't be an idiot.

In the midst of wondering what the hell you're talking about, I realized we're discussing a pandemic in which real people are dying and suffering.

Somehow Democrats have managed to turn this into a political issue despite the fact humanity is batting a collective 1 for infinity against invisible infectious diseases.

As if Donald Trump could've single handedly stopped it.  Ignore the fact nobody else has been able to either.

Yeah, people are dying.  All over the world.  Because that's what happens with diseases. And as it's been proven time and again there's pretty much nothing humanity can do to stop it.

The left attempting to exploit every single one of those deaths to score political points is damn shameful.  But congrats to you guys I guess, you finally found something to make Trump look bad.

Maybe a giant meteor will strike over the next day or two and kill a couple million. You can blame that on Trump too.

Does it count as single-handedly doing nothing while no hands would have been used by virtue of nothing being done?

FormlessOne:

If the masks and social distance work, why would anybody need to stay home.

And Not only that, if you think humanity is realistically capable of complying with your set of directives here for long enough to succeed, you're engaged in magical thinking that would put even the most devout sky wizard believer to shame.

Even if we did.  Some guy dining on bat kabobs or farking a chicken is liable to start a brand new one a week later.

So please.  Try to develop a realistic perspective towards this thing.
