I'm in need of a full-time mechanic to manage my fleet of vehicles and various construction equipment, in San Diego. Pay is competitive, we match 3% for retirement, offer health and dental, and there's usually frozen goodies like ice cream or popsicles in the freezer you can help yourself to if you feel your work warrants the treat (honor system).

Teachers are retiring and quitting all over my state, so if I were looking for a job, I'd be in a good shape.
Thankfully, my district is allowing me to work from home, so I'll keep the job I have.

Weird. Since getting laid off in May, I've quit two jobs (One was sucking the life out of me, the other I couldn't truly commit to with my cancer schedule), and I am battling between two others that will work around my schedule. And that's without even really putting in a ton of effort.

I take it your degrees aren't in hospitality and event management? I can't get in anywhere. The restaurant I was executive chef at is closed, fast food is open, so is retail, but they don't want me, and even if they did, that's like $10 and hour max, my life is built on 60k a year, so I'm farked regardless.

The company I got laid off from, ironically enough, was an event management company, but I do IT work. Best job I ever had, too.

roostercube: Pay is competitive

This almosty invariably means it's complete shiat. Don't play farking games, put an actual dollar amount in the advert, and if you're serious, make it a good one.
