(Yahoo)   You mean to tell me that the huge health plan binder that was given to Lesley Stahl by Trump actually contained no comprehensive health care plan? What kind of mularkey is this?   (yahoo.com) divider line

The real surprise here is that the pages weren't just all blank.

I'd love to see a sample of these documents.  I'm picturing interoffice memos like:

- Tell Lindsey that if he touches the temperature thing again on his next visit he's gonna be fired fired!  Presidnent Donald J. Trump

- Need some suggestions for entry music.  What was that song where the two lions boned?  Get that one.
Pesidnt Donald J. Trump

-  At my last glorious rally, a man yell he loved me, kind of gay, find woman to yell it this time, and no ugly ones.
President for life Donald J. Trump

- Want to talk to Dems about hate crime legislation.  It should be against the law for them to call me names, that's real hate.
Emporer Donald J. Trump

All the repeat articles on Fark lately could probably fill that book.

I'm wondering how many of those pages were just plain blank. When she flipped through that book real quick on 60 minutes, i didn't see any print at all.

Exactly, her words were with odds with what my eyes saw when she flipped the pages.

I wonder how much it cost Trump to have her lie about the contents or lack thereof.

The top soft bound booklet, that likely had content, but she she opened the book it was blank and blank until she stopped on the page with the Presidential Seal.

the truth is out there.

If re-elected, President Donald Trump plans to expand on the changes to health care that his administration has implemented. Further, many developments and plans impact those on Medicare. For a summary of some key points of Trump's health care plan for 2021, keep reading.

Trump's America First Healthcare Plan

President Trump released an executive order, describing an America First health care plan. First, the order outlines steps that the Trump administration has taken to achieve its primary health care goals. Putting patients first, offering more affordable drugs, and allowing people more choice in their health care are tenets of the Trump administration's goals. The administration estimates over 40 million hours saved in four years. This refers to time providers have spent with their patients instead of their patients' records.

In addition, President Trump states his priority for those with pre-existing conditions to get the coverage they want at an affordable price. For this purpose, access to both care and information is crucial.

The President orders continued reduction of fraud, waste, and abuse by the HHS Secretary and the CMS Administrator. Fraud, waste, and abuse account for extraneous spending and drive health care prices up...

It sounds like it just consisted of a lot of previously-known, boilerplate blah-blah designed to fill pages and make it look like a serious volume of new work. Anyone who's ever worked in an office and had access to a word processor could easily fill a similar binder with semi-relevant information about THEIR industry, too.

This was just another performative bit of bullsh*t on Trump's part to shore up his ignorant base, like the piles of blank paper in manila folders at his phony "Look at me! I'm divesting from my businesses!" press conference. The only people fooled are the ones who don't work with documents very often and are intimidated by the idea of having to read.

It's funny that you think any of that is real.

The GOP have had 4 years to come up with a real plan and they did nothing.

All they want is to get rid of pre-ex, bring back junk insurance and increased medical bankruptcies.

Also funny cos "waste, fraud and abuse" pretty much sum up Trump's "accomplishments" to date.

I wonder what the folks who thought it was scandalous for a President to wear a tan suit think about a press secretary wearing leather pants. I mean, she can get away with them, but still.
