(WFAA Fort Worth)   Early voting analysis shows Dems are trouncing GOP voters, with double the number of ballots cast. Despite more recent increased GOP turnout, they're still -20%. "At some point, Republicans have to vote,"   (wfaa.com) divider line

That's the problem with early voting. The headlines motivate the voters of the campaign that's lagging behind.

Covid 19:  They have to vote in person sometime. Then we'll get them. We'll get them all. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha.

Aide:  Excuse me, Mr. Trump for interupting your daydream, but we have some numbers on the number of states that are increasingly likely to flip and the 9,000,000 Democrats who voted for you as a protest vote in 2016 are nowhere to be found today.

Dems are SURE of their votes. Nothing's gonna deter them. Lots of 'em are locked in already. Clearly, the Republicans aren't nearly as sure. If they'd made up their minds, they'd have voted already. Even if they're all voting on Nov 3rd, Democratic turnout being already in is going to mean that even 1% reduction turnout among election-day voters -due to getting busy, being sick (maybe due to COVID you caught at a Trump rally?), not wanting to stand in line in the rain at the new consolidated polling location, or whatever- is all it should take for Biden to outperform the polls in enough states that it'll be an electoral landslide.

2020-10-25 11:03:36 PM
Do not pay attention to any polls or "expectations" based on who has already voted.  If you haven't voted yet - VOTE!  If you have a mail ballot, drop it off at your canvasser's office if you can.  At this point, I wouldn't trust the postal service to get it there on time.

Has anyone else noticed the exit polls only get it wrong when they predict a Democratic winner? You'd think have if those errors should go the other way, but 9 times out of 10 it only breaks in one direction. Funny that.

I voted early in Arkansas in 4 recent elections, and my experience was always exactly what you described.

Except for that one time when I went to the library in a predominately black neighborhood to vote, then the line took about two hours. That was a week or so before the 2016 election.

Trump has likely irreparably damaged his chances by attacking mail-in voting. Trump was the underdog during the last election and Americans love to cheer for an underdog. His campaign is running the same playbook but even his dumbest supporters know that Trump is not the underdog anymore. The closer to Election Day, the more chances his voters will decide he's a loser. Americans don't vote for losers. On Election Night, the Republican votes are just going to fizzle. I'm not expecting a huge shift to Democrats, rather the votes just won't be there. As it's been said many times before, if Trump loses you're going to find a lot of people who voted for him the first time, and no one who voted for him the second time.

No.

There was an interview with that asshole I caught on my newsfeed today.

It is solely because "they can't undo it." McConnell was gloating that everything that's been done the last four years will be undone pretty quickly, but "they'll be stuck with this [Barrett] for the next 40 years."

I've never heard anything like that from McConnell before. He openly said the only reason for Barrett was to stick it to the libs. And for no other reason.

He knows Trump is going to lose, he's going down too, and this is just a last mean fark you to America.

I'd like to dream, but I'm trying not to read too much into that. I'm real liberal but chose not to declare any party affiliations. I'm sure there are plenty conservative folks who do the same.
