Of course he will. Power, regardless of ideology, always consolidates.
If you think the last 4 years were a nightmare, we damn well better make sure he doesn't get another four years.

Vote like your life and that of your children depend on it.
Because it does.

It blows my goddamn mind. A f*ckin reality show headline is leading the charge for a full on collapse of democracy in America. And a not-insignificant portion of America supports him.

I remember thinking we'd be exploring space by the time I was in my 30s. I'm 33 now and fully expect to spend the next 40 years repairing America if no other hiccups come up (like this goddamn election, which should not be so close).

I was in 5th grade when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon and there was a huge STEM drive in schools at the time.  I was 2 years past my BS when Challenger blowed up.  Since then science, engineering and intellect have all become dirty words unless there was the prospect of immediate profit.

Smarted.
Be aware that the pendulum of history does swing.  What I find interesting is the complete bearing failure of the pivot point.
Perhaps that is no surprise, but it is more than a little disconcerting.
To say the very least.

What's the line? We are learning that 1/3 of the population wants to kill 1/3, whilst the last 1/3 watches?

Thank god that Donny and his ilk are laughably incompetent.

Wray and Haspel are despised and distrusted almost universally in Trump's inner circle. He would have fired both already, one official said, if not for the political headaches of acting before Nov. 3.

Has he matured??  At the beginning of President Leeroy Jenkins' presidency, he couldn't be made to care about such things

I hope you're right, but in another thread they are discussing the curious phenomenon of 3 to 5% of liberal and black votes disappearing every time there is a Republican state secretary.

It's just hard for me to believe that the guy who handled Sessions, Kelly, etc the way he did is worried about the ramifications of firing two people that most Americans have never heard of.  If it's true, he must be pretty damn scared

He will find someone worse. He always does. Somehow.

Also, if he gets another 4 years, that only means another seat or two on the Supreme Court.

Watch him try and nullify the 22nd Amendment and govern for eternity.

Democracy in the US currently has a cavity, and the decay needs to be drilled out and replaced with a suitable material via the 2020 election. If that cavity is not removed at that time then it is going to require at a minimum a root canal in 2024, assuming it does not abscess in the meantime. There will be no novocain available after November 3rd, so please brush, floss and VOTE BIDEN 2020.

We're farked if he wins or loses. Either way, he's going to try to shred everything into tiny pieces before he croaks.

Born rich.
Failed upwards his entire life.
Deeply flawed sociopath and spoiled, whiny bastard.
Crackpot.
Was essentially seen as a joke and a failure and mostly out of the public eye until a reality TV show producer made him look legitimate again.
Propped up by social media companies because his TV show popularity made him money.
Lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million.
We still haven't seen his taxes or financial reports so we have no idea who he owes money to or does "business" with.
Has already said he'll contest the election if he loses.
Obviously stupid, egomaniacal, and unstable.

Win or lose he's going to do everything he can to burn it all down. A motherfarking reality show character is going to fark up America as much as he can, and it seems there is no one to stop him.

The Republicans don't have a platform this cycle. They were going to use the platform from 2016 but it had a bunch of stuff in it about how terrible things are now so they went without one. They have a "Statement of Intent" I think they called it, from Trump, it reads like a Facebook post from your crazy uncle.

Seriously. This is not a joke. Check it out.

America has spent many years building its defense, and it is now the 2nd (?) most powerful military in the world.  There isn't a coalition in the world large enough to take the USA on.  The only way I can see any outside attack on America is if they invade Mexico or Canada (esp. Canada because we are still technically part of the Realm)

I beg to differ.  Unlike the Dem's ridiculous platform of "Hey we've got plans to do stuff," and other such touchy-feeling nonsense that you need a loofah sponge, a crying pillow, a safe space, and one of Gwyneth Paltrow's jade vagina eggs to read. The Republican's is sheer brilliance condensed down to seven simple letters:
