For Michael Reinhart, a 52-year-old truck driver, and his wife, Carolyn, a 54-year-old training manager at McDonald's, voting this year is about their 11 grandchildren and getting schools opened back up.

Specifically, they're in favor of getting the schools opened, right now, at the start of the second wave. They're voting, so you'd better too.

These must be Democrats.

1. They are social distancing.
2. Nobody has decided that they can use the other path because there is no rule against it  and it is for losers who don't want to get ahead.

Bernie and AOC are both publicly and openingly imploring all their supporters to vote Biden and detailing why it is much better than staying at home or protest voting.

I mean sure, they'll still win Texas, but this time they actually have to fight for it, thats how bad theyre doing.

As far as media appearances, I can't say. But that they haven't been out doing rallies and such, well there's a pandemic going on plus ya know, a lot of shiat going down in DC.

Thanks to the electoral college Russia only needs to change a few thousand votes in a few areas to make a difference. Not like they would be able to access voter counts in several swing states with treasonous republican government officials that turn a blind eye to election security, they'd have to have some like lowly skilled hackers on their payroll to pull that off.

Possibly fewer staff due to COVID, along with other slowdowns due to social distancing reduced overall capacity.

Adding to this:

In Virginia there are often long lines on the first three days and then it quietens down. I went in three weeks after they'd started, and after they'd opened up satellite offices, and the wait was an hour. I know folks who went in a week later and the lines were still an hour, at 8am. They only open at 8. Over a month into early voting and people are queuing in long lines before the polling station is even open.

the 2020 election in a nutshell: Trump supporters are very confident about their chances despite there being little to no evidence to back up their beliefs while everyone else (myself included) is worried about Trump being re-elected in spite of all the evidence pointing to his likely defeat.

I'm not sure this is a bad thing actually.

Sweet mother of god.  How early did you start pumping them out to have grandkids, and 11 of them, by 52!?  Well, skipping 10 years of education after high school probably helps.  But then I'd have a shiatty job wouldn't have spent my 30's working in 3 labs across Europe and have a job I love (except terms when I have to teach Med Micro to the 2nd year medical students.  I wake up praying for death those days)

These people are blathering about opening schools.  That tells me that they are likely babysitters to those grandchildren, whose parents probably work crappy jobs (can't work from home when you're employed as a burger flipper at McDonald's).  So I'd guess that these two geniuses had kids young, and their kids did the same, only being a teen/early 20s parent worked out MUCH MUCH worse for the younger generation.

How do you have eleven grandchildren at 54?

At 36, my best friend in the Navy married a woman 8 years his senior. She'd a son 8 years younger than her new husband (she had her son when she was 16). Her son had two daughters and a step-daughter from his wife's first marriage (the son's wife's daughter was 17). By the time my friend was ready to retire from the Navy at 40, his step-son's step-daughter gave him a double-step-great-grandson.

Irony: my friend is gay & it was a marriage of convenience because, since it was then illegal for a gay man to serve his country, he needed a beard and married the mother of another friend, a shipmate of ours, & she needed to finish her degree & medical care. Additionally, his wife had 3 additional daughters, all mothers, so he had a total of four step-children, 9 step-grandchildren & 1 double-step granddaughter, and 1 something-step (triple or double, I dunno) great-grandchild.

This was in 1992. They never divorced, she passed away from lung cancer (2010) and he married his husband in 2012 with his kids, grandkids & great-grandchild by his first marriage there. They live in his late wife's house, a 3 flat, with two of his step-daughter in the other flats.

On the first date, talking about themselves, he told future husband he thought the date was going really well & he invited him to come back to his house for the night, "but my grandson & his wife & sons are camping in the guest room for a few days while their apartment is being repaired because of water damage." His date stopped, looked at him while he put that sentence together and asked, "Wait. What? You have great-grandchildren? How the fark old are you?"  (Answer: 55.) God bless 'em, that family works.

What I find most amazing is: his youngest step-daughter's ex-husband, after the divorce, stayed in the spare room and never left so he could still help care for his two kids, living in his ex-stepmother's apartment (since her gay husband mostly lived elsewhere and obviously it was not a traditional marriage). When his ex-step-mother died, and gay husband inherited the house, he stayed on and has never moved out.

In the dining room they have a family tree of photos on the wall. It's a beautiful wall.

Are they exhorting their supporters to vote Biden through Hard Left leaning channels I'm not in on? Are they being asked to step back?

No snark at all, seriously wondering what's up with that. Anyone?

Bernie has been campaigning hard for Biden.
Almost every day he holds an event.

The fark is wrong with you?

It's not interested in legitimate media, or it would have seen dozens of articles and news blurbs over the past six months showing AOC and Bernie Sanders saying, singing, and yelling to freaking vote for Biden.

It's here with gotcha questions that will elicit words from responders so that it can then do a Gish gallop from a script and dazzle us with bogus facts and statistics. That's all.

shinji3i: Print'sNotDead: I love this, and I love that high turnout in the past has favored Democrats. But truthfully, I'm still petrified that somehow, one way or another, the Pre-Covid prediction I made of Trump losing the popular vote by 10 million and still winning the Electoral College will be right. Early voting in my State starts tomorrow, I'll be there.
I've never wanted a Dem tsunami so badly in my lifetime.

Trump wins DC with 80% of the vote, while many precincts report negative vote totals for Biden. If the Supreme Court agrees with, you know, everyone, that there was massive interference and gives DC to the Dems, there is a 269-269 tie. In any case, the city burns.

/Because 2020

If AZ/WI don't go to Biden, there's no way in hell that NE-2 does.

More to the point, there's no way Republicans could steal DC and fail to steal Michigan.

Plus AOC had the Twitch Among Us livestream that was pretty much a GOTV directed to youth.
As far as media appearances, I can't say. But that they haven't been out doing rallies and such, well there's a pandemic going on plus ya know, a lot of shiat going down in DC.

Gracias, again it is me, I don't Twit lol.

It's all good, assembling all that took a few mins and I saw in your responses in between that it was an actual good faith question.
Weird to see those lately :)

A 52-year-old with around 11 school-aged grandchildren...

So, vote early and vote often?

/ something like that...

Btw: the 16 year old girl who had a child that started it? She was in an LDS sect in New Mexico. When she was 26, he husband beat her in the front yard so savagely she lost 7 teeth. Somehow she & her four kids escaped to a West Coast town when she worked, raised her kids, got her GED, went to college ( thanks to her gay marriage of convenience husband), and earned a master's and a teaching certificate, bought a house, and made her family safe.

Yeah, I legit think/thought they were/are laying low to head off the "JOW BIDEN IS A TROJAN HORSE OF THE RADICAL LEFT" argument. Glad to see they're out there talking to an important segment of Democratic voters. I had heard about the Twitch thing but - sigh - I'm old I forgot.

Apparently this is a you problem, not a them problem.

Ahh CNN, that's my problem, I don't watch cable news at all. Thanks again, though, great to know.
