If the Chinese can make a solar farm like this:

We can certainly get rid of fossil fuel dependency.

We want companies to come back to the US. And we'll provide tax incentives to do that.

So long as those companies would rather pay their workers 35 cents an hour to do the same thing that America would require at least minimum wage to do, and follow business and environmental law that the countries they're currently in don't give a shiat about, those companies aren't coming back. Tax incentives aren't enough. You would literally need the US government to pay companies to come back to work in the US, otherwise known as subsidies.

In a sane and just America, we would have told those companies they need to pay to play at the very least, and at best told them to just emigrate to other countries if they're unwilling to abide by the laws established by the United States.

"That Biden guy is too optimistic."

Actual Republican "criticism".

The thing I have never been able to understand from child hood on, if you don't believe in global warming pollution is still bad, why not do everything to reduce it as soon as possible, why can't we be free of it if we try, what are the major limitations?

For once, I agree with Kudlow.  Biden couldn't do it in 15.

Probably more like 12 years.

You can put me in the group that doesn't give a flying fark what Larry Kudlow thinks. I don't give a shiat if he's right, or wrong.

Why is it never framed as "Larry Kudlow doesn't think Americans are capable of doing it in 15 years."  Hit them in the pride.

It's sad to think that he's worked for Trump so long that he forgot that goals were a thing....

"President Trump is going to have additional tax cuts," Kudlow added. "He's going to have middle-class tax cuts. He's going to try to make the business tax cuts deeper and permanent. We're going to have on-shoring. We want companies to come back to the US. And we'll provide tax incentives to do that."

but of course none of this was able to happen the last 4 years. and only idiots think it will happen the next 4 years (under trump)

So we shouldn't even try?  Or maybe fix it with tax cuts?

Reminder: the US could save ordinary people BILLIONS of dollars in electricity costs if the East-West power grid was fixed.
There was a paper written on it but oil and coal companies realised it could cost them money. Now no one is allowed to read said paper.
That's why the US can't do much about climate change.

Larry Kudlow has never been right about anything. So wile I didn't think 15 years was feasible, now I have to concede that Kudlow has convinced me. No more fossil fuels by 2035.

The real goal is probably 50 years, but if you say 50, it comes 80.

You need some stretch there. 15? Yeah, let's treat it like the moon shot.

100%? No. Because FFs surround you, they're embedded throughout our economy.

Wind and solar aren't even close to their potential (which is why people talking about lack of wind periods in 2020 have donkey brains). Neither are batteries or EVs for that matter. Also, they're much more efficient which is why 2018 was likely US peak energy consumption. Cheap rooftop will fundamentally change the energy paradigm that's been precedent for over a century. EV2grid pooling as well, and better diagnostics will lead to markets for second life batteries.

It's all coming one way or another, the hard part is going to be all the other shiat outside of electricity/road transport.

> Kudlow says Biden wouldn't be able to replace fossil fuels in 15 years

Why do I hear the jeering audience from Married with Children in my head after reading these kinds of headines: "Jackoff A says Jackoff B can't do C!"
