Do you really need a special tool to do that?

Isn't the Venn diagram of those groups a dead ringer for the flag of Japan?

They're forgetting the group of Hollywood conservatives, so it's the Japanese flag with a nipple.

Hmm
Subjugating the masses for profit.

Tools needed.
Start up capital.
Religion.

You could outlaw that second one.
You can do a lot more good if there is oversight on spending.

I became atheist in high school, but in college, the predatory way campus religous groups came after me at a really low time sealed the deal that I wanted nothing to do with those people ever again.

I thought I was joking that the GOP destruction of mental health was a bonus for them. One half of people needing help could cheer the other half being killed by police. But wow, this is really messed up.

I'm still trying to wrap my brains around this Gordian Knot of "Logic" here.......

The right wing wants to indoctrinate the poor & helpless into thinking that they're nothing but worthless moochers.......

So, these rich comfortable bastards not only want to torment & starve the poor, they also want to brainwash the poor into hating themselves for the rest of their lives for being poor? That god hates them because they're poor and that they deserve to suffer because it's "god's will" for them to be punished for being poor?

That's some next level cruelty there!

No, but it really helps expedite the process. And with each generation being more liberal that the last, the incentive is pretty high to brainwash people as quickly as possible.

The Prosperity Doctrine.   Doctrine of the Elect.  God reveals who is chosen for heaven by rewarding them with wealth on earth.

What these crime families actually believe.  And pay Republican government to enact by policy.  And by packing courts with Federalist Society members.

Christianity is a means, not an end. A way to achieve neofeudalistic policy objectives. It doesn't have to square with anything, it just needs to be useful.

American Christianity only honors Jesus's's's's' teachings in word, not deed. American Christianity is an angry, hateful death cult bent on dominating government, society, doctor's offices, schools, and bedrooms. So it aligns with Republicanism/Trumpleritism quite well. There is virtually no separation.

/save the "well Imma good Christian" responses. If you're a willing member of the club, you are complicit.

You know, FEUDALISM SUCKED. Anybody who thinks slavery was cool or that living in a castle with a whole bunch of slaves would be pleasant has a serious screw loose. Even Albania chucked that first chance they got. North Korea? Not so sure.

I often, and seriously OFTEN think about how much better my life is than that of Louis XIV. Food and drink from all over the world. Information is more or less free. Wide varieties of thought, culture, art from all times and places and very accessible. A lot of people can have as much leisure as they want, but choose to work anyway. Even the ability to choose a career is huge. Of course there is inequality. Of course things are unfair for a lot of people, but people do actually care about that and think and work to resolve it. And many are paid to do it. And people more or less have hope for a better future as a premise.

Sometimes I feel as though this is obvious only to CIV players. Feudalism is a huge step backward for anybody.

/ Off to check YouTube to see if anyone has tried to complete a whole game w/o progressing beyond feudalism.
// Has to be impossible.
/// Right?

Interesting article about New Zealand and how for the last 20 years, the country has polled net positive on "right direction" during both liberal and conservative governments.    Contrast that with the USA, which has polled net negative on right direction for THE LAST 40 YEARS.  Both the UK and Australia have polled net negative for the last 20 years.

One thing that New Zealand does not have, unlike the USA, UK and Australia, is the overbearing presence of a Murdoch media empire.

You could seriously argue that Murdoch has done more to ruin people's lives, and the world, that any other single person.

Every day is a new low for Republicans.

EVERY. FARKING. DAY.

I really wish sometimes that trump's rhetoric of antifa is coming to get you were true and rid this world of these false prophet churches who have preyed on the most disadvantaged people in America, all paid for by the GOP.

Deplorable wasn't anywhere near a strong enough word to describe Republicans, most of their supporters (hard to fault the mentally ill, disadvantaged and poor folk cited in the article), and their large monied interests.

In a just world they'd be up against a wall in front of a firing squad, or walking up the gallow's steps for a hanging, or beheaded by a guillotine, or by the Lord's way, stoning.

These people do not care about anyone but themselves and have proven it publicly over and over and over again.

If hell exists, and my wishing horrible, painful and lonely deaths for these people sends me there, I'll accept it. I wish every single one of them death. And it can't happen soon enough.
