His gut tells him more than the experts brains tell them, remember?

2020-10-24 12:25:22 AM
Why am I not surprised? It takes away from his "executive" time.

Covid, covid, pandemic. Covid, covid covid. Donnie is getting tired of the pandemic.

He could give a shiat. As long as he is okay, who cares about those losers.

All meetings that farking plague rat Trump attends are COVID-19 meetings, actually.

2020-10-24 6:37:09 AM
Much to the relief of the task force members, I'm sure.

Can you imagine being responsible for the response to a crisis that risks the lives of hundreds of thousands, the health of millions and the economic future of tens of millions, and an orange toddler is in the corner pouting and demanding you pay attention to him and his great idea to tell everyone the virus can be stopped by buying a new MAGA hat?

2020-10-24 7:47:38 AM
He's doing the ol "I consult a lot of people but primarily myself" thing again.  I think it was an interview with Walters in 2016 where she asked him about who he's consulting on military matters and he just made up crap about generals and how he knows more so he consults himself.

Cyberluddite: All meetings that farking plague rat Trump attends are COVID-19 meetings, actually.

Yeah, I'm sure his spreading the virus as hard as he can is something that happens without planning.

Because we've rounded the corner on this thing and the is light at the end of the tunnel. Nevermind that peaky fact that we had the highest number of positive tests since the pandemic began yesterday. That's just peaky scientists and their so called facts.

Sin'sHero: Covid, covid, pandemic. Covid, covid covid. Donnie is getting tired of the pandemic.

He was bored with it back in March.  It was inconvenient and it got in the way of his golfing and his four year long reelection campaign.

2020-10-24 7:50:53 AM
Honestly I'd have been surprised if he had. I expect this level of disregard from him.

It blows my mind that he farked up the response this badly. It's as if he tried to respond in the absolute worst way possible.

he was elected to Tweet, not to meet.

Above all else, Trump is lazy.  If it doesn't interest him, or isn't about pumping up his galactic level ego, he just doesn't care.

He was getting tired of it in February.

If he'd done nothing, if he had shut the fark up and let Fauci appear on the news, let the CDC do their thing, if he had not once said anything about it, we would be better off.

"Mr President, how is the pandemic going?"
"You'll need to ask Dr Fauci about that."

But he needs to feel he's the smartest guy in the room so we're all farked.

You can't attend something that doesn't exist.

Since Trump is a jeanius, one would think he'd know he's losing.

Yet the GOP is releasing a big documentary on how #45 has handled the Covid-19 crisis.
It's pathetic.  Next is a documentary praising Captain Smith for trying to get the Titanic ahead of schedule and the 9/11 hijackers for having such  good aim.

The only thing approaching the size of his ego is his gut, and trying to out shout either of them is damn near impossible.

man, he's given so many whack job interviews I'm not sure anymore.

meeting filled with facts and science and talking about people dying and responsibility, hardly anyone doing cocaine, sounds like a bummer for Trump

2020-10-24 8:24:34 AM
It a question of labels.

If it had been Covid 15 or even 16 (depending on the state) Trump would have been all over it, every day.

Technically, every rally he does is a COVID-19 meeting.

Why is this surprising?  He has the attention of an ADD toddler on a sugar rush.

He went to the largest retirement community in Florida to hold a rally yesterday. Negligence would be an actual improvement over proactive measures to get more people killed.

In any rational society he wouldn't be President and would have to be wheeled around in a Hannibal Lecter dolly to keep him from harming others.

2020-10-24 8:31:16 AM
I assumed he doesn't go to any meetings. Even the ones he has to go to, like with big shot foreign politicians, I assume it's just a drive by appearance. How else could it work? He can't hold a train of thought, or concentrate, or indeed contribute anything of value. Plus I imagine they're trying to hide how mentally feeble he is, as much as possible.

That's what irks me the most about this whole thing.  This is probably the only case where I'd want him to spend *more* time at his golf course and just stay out of the way.  Let Fauci and the CDC do their thing - handling the press conferences, dealing with local and state governments, managing federal funding/supplies - and we'd be in a much better position right now.

Seems he needs a bigger gut.

When he finished the tour of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, he said the Doctors were amazed at what he knew. He was the only one talking on the clip I saw, and all attention was on him. The Mayo staff, all high ranking, most likely, were wearing masks and face shields so I couldn't read their expression. I'd like to know what they really thought about that. Amazed, I doubt, bewildered, astounded, stupefied. Even gobsmacked.
Did they have to sign NDA's?
Can we try him and his administration in civil court for neglect homicide?

Why should he hear about body bags and deaths? It's not relevant. So why should he waste his beautiful mind on something like that?

It was about foreign policy:

Asked on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" who he talks with consistently about foreign policy, Trump responded, "I'm speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I've said a lot of things."
"I know what I'm doing and I listen to a lot of people, I talk to a lot of people and at the appropriate time I'll tell you who the people are," Trump said. "But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct for this stuff."
Source.

Another thing that disqualified him, but nope. "Yep. He tells it lahk it is."

The amount he downplays the pandemic now will pale in comparison to how much he'll flat out ignore it if he's re-elected.

He flat out says that the new border wall is "almost finished". It's not that big of a stretch for him to go from "we're rounding the curve"  to "its over, we've cured it. I won" even as more and more people get sick and die.

AngryTeacher: He stopped some people coming in from China...  What more could a president have done?

If I was president I would have shut down all air travel (even domestic but not including commercial shipment flights or seaports), sealed the borders completely, closed everything but grocery stores, pharmacies, and doctors' offices, mandated that masks be worn when you go those places, and given every adult $3,000 a month. Oh and I'd give the public health sector every single penny they needed to take the most extreme and thorough measures possible.

2 or 3 months later, no more virus. Open everything else back up except for international air travel and the borders until the world got its shiat together too.
