Right on.

2020-10-24 12:16:50 AM
If Adam West is no longer able to make a Biden ad, Keaton is an adequate substitute.

That was a fine endorsement.

I didn't know he was from PA.

This should help.

He was also fricken Birdman.  Should've got an Oscar for that one.

Good ad, Birdman.

He should antagonize Trump with follow-up ads based on his past roles. "Mr. Mom" probably has more appeal to suburban housewives than Trump does.

Helping on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Look for the helpers! Also note how there's Fred in the picture, taking a backseat to all his production help.

I fully agree with his endorsement, think Michael Keaton is a great actor, love his work

...

Kevin Conroy is Batman and there's nothing you can do or say to convince me otherwise.

Gung ho! and Mr. Mom are hilarious, even if the politics and gender roles don't stand up to the test of time.

Next, put on the Beetlejuice makeup and do an endorsement ad for Donald Trump, from the perspective of a being representing Evil incarnate.

Explain how Trump has helped kill hundreds of thousands of people, which makes evil very happy.
Explain how evil loves to see countless refugee babies and children suffer unspeakable pain as they are forever separated from their parents and treated like prisoners.
Explain how evil loves the constant hatred and name-calling that is Trump's trademark.
And the racism, OH the racism! "Be still my heart!...Well, because of racism, but also because I died of Covid-19"
Evil hates masks and loves cutting people's access to healthcare, so they can suffer and die.
Evil loves grabbing women by the pssy, without their consent.
Constant, endless lies are like oxygen to evil.

"Vote Trump, for another four years of lies, death, hatred, and narcissism! As evil incarnate, I endorse this message, so you too can join me in hell soon."

Mr. Rogers was so cool. Here, understanding and respecting who does most of the actual work while he gets most of the fun and the credit. Still setting a good example all these years later.

(And Keaton did a fine job, too, making his point and having a little modestly-stated fun with it.)

With a few notable cases of glaring nepotism, I do find it amusing that actors and entertainers are what Trump pretends to be: self-made millionaires who got by on hard work, merit and talent.

A few have even deliberately chosen stage names to avoid the obvious connection to their relatives in the industry, such as Nick Cage and Angelina Jolie.

It's America 2020. That could flip the entire race on its head for Trump.

Michael Keaton is a 70 year old baby boomer worth $40 million. Who cares what he thinks?

He looks freaky good for an old guy. If DC wants to salvage their movie franchise, cast him in The Dark Knight Returns. Also Ryan Reynolds as Star Man.

I thought it was somewhat intentional that he could have made slightly different choices and become a hero, but he went the angry way.

Interesting that both of the villains in the MCU Spider-Man movies were essentially created by Stark. I would be surprised if their version of Doc Ock involves Stark tech. (I think there was supposed to be a reference to Stark in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man2)

And is Michael Keaton the only one who played Batman who is actually proud that he played Batman? Live action, of course. Conroy seems pretty happy about it, too. But with Adam West gone, seems like Keaton is the only one I can picture going around telling people that he was fricking Batman.

Michael Keaton is consistently good and underrated actor. Has he ever turned in a bad performance even when the film was bad? I would love to know why he doesn't get more work. Is it a conscious choice on his part to pass on a lot of opportunities or is Hollywood stupid?

I believe the answer is "all of the above". Hollywood is also "streaky"- who is the current hot item that will put butts in seats?

Yeah after Batman he did some low profile stuff then disappeared completely. Was really happy to see him make a comeback. And he's great in both drama and comedy.

I'd say he's just perfectly comfortable thriving in relative obscurity doing off beat roles that appeal to him which he knows he can get down perfect.

My favorite role...the police chief who unnecessarily quoted TLC songs all the time.

Even nepotism will only carry someone just so far. It opens doors but only those with merit, talent, and hard work will build a lasting career in the business. Some, like Ron Howard and Jeff Bridges will even surpass the parent (or parents) that got them in the business.

Agreed, with the way Trump and the Republicans have attacked the environment for profit the last four years Democrats could have run pretty much anyone and I'd have voted for them.

Damn I wanted to mention that but couldn't remember the name of the movie, something like "The Other Guys"?
