He was in that movie too, with Mark Walberg, Samuel Jackson and the Rock.

catmandu: Sgt Otter: With a few notable cases of glaring nepotism, I do find it amusing that actors and entertainers are what Trump pretends to be: self-made millionaires who got by on hard work, merit and talent.

A few have even deliberately chosen stage names to avoid the obvious connection to their relatives in the industry, such as Nick Cage and Angelina Jolie.

Even nepotism will only carry someone just so far. It opens doors but only those with merit, talent, and hard work will build a lasting career in the business. Some, like Ron Howard and Jeff Bridges will even surpass the parent (or parents) that got them in the business.

Wouldn't Drew Barrymore be on that list?

DNRTFA...  But it seems to me that the most compelling and obvious reason to vote for Biden is that he's not Trump.

taintbaggins: Michael Keaton is consistently good and underrated actor. Has he ever turned in a bad performance even when the film was bad? I would love to know why he doesn't get more work. Is it a conscious choice on his part to pass on a lot of opportunities or is Hollywood stupid?

On his more recent flicks, he's really been playing like he's just stopping in for a paycheque. He delivers his lines swiftly, doesn't allow any time for impact, and then his scene his done. I know cinematic dialogue has sped up a lot in the last 20 years, thanks to such actors as Downey Jr., Cusack, and Laboeuf, but when Keaton does it, it just looks too casual and that he's not trying.

Case closed.

Vote for Biden.

He's not trump.

Let's face it, voting for Biden simply because he is not Trump is like being forced to choose between rape and nonconsenting sex.  The only difference between the two political parties is that Republicans do not even attempt to hide their evil like the Democrats do but if you think either party cares about anything beyond adding to their nest funds, you are just fooling yourself.    Both parties thought it best to dump their stocks and reinvest when the covid hits instead of preparing the country for the worst, if an extinction level asteroid was to aim for earth, both parties would be giving news conferences safe on a space station or in a bunker with their favored ones while the rest of us are left to die.  So your choice is Trump 2020, the same shiat as the last four years or Biden 2020, the same shiat just repackaged. Seriously, the best person that the Democratic party could come up with to run against Trump is so behind who has been running for President since 1988 and seems so inept that he almost makes Trump look competent.  Was Obama just a fluke of a candidate in the party, Biden is the best they have...Trump is the best the Republicans have...Idiocracy approaches people.

/if you are going to waste a vote just vote on Dancing with the Stars.

Alright, let's slow down the hyperbole here. It's like choosing between rape or awkward hugging and/or hair sniffing.

Definitely more successful than parents, other ancestors? Maybe. I was giving 2 examples, not trying to actually do a list.

I'd say he's just perfectly comfortable thriving in relative obscurity doing off beat roles that appeal to him which he knows he can get down perfect.

Sure, we could raise Bruce Wayne's taxes to pay for universal healthcare, but if we maintain the low rates of the Lex Luthor tax plan, he'll be able to afford a second Bat-yatch, which might make all the difference when it comes to defeating the Riddler.

Ishkur: rosekolodny: But don't forget Vulture. It was weird watching Birdman be Vulture.

I loved Vulture. When he made that speech to Peter Parker about corporate assholes like Stark crushing the small business guy who's just trying to feed his family I was like "You know, he's not wrong. Dude has a point. Are we sure he's the villain?"

In that case though A point could be made since they were picking up alien tech, you would want a specialized group that has security clearance.

There's some low quality bait in here.

And that's before the list from that one guy who remembered Pattinson, but forgot Bale.
