I hope it's done in the style of the 21 Jump Street movies.

I hope Apollo is played by Ice Cube

And Doctor Zee by Will Smith's kid.

Will Apolo be played by a real person this time, instead of a cardboard cutout?

2020-10-23 8:17:49 AM
Wait...what?

The show was revived and re-imagined for the post-9-11 world as a thought-provoking, politically charged series that ran to great acclaim on Syfy from 2004 to 2009. A reboot of the show is currently in development with Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail executive producing.

Are they seriously rebooting the reboot? This soon? So...is this "movie" just a theatrical release of a pilot episode for this new reboot or is it based on either of the previous...I give up.

Yeah, Galactica 1980 sucked

Galactica 1980 introduced the concept of the Cylons not being able to create, only copy what they could see, and also the humaniform skinjobs. For all of it's woes, it planted a seed.

Funniest scene was when the kids were at the Planetarium and one commented that the constellations looked backwards and another kid said "that's because we're seeing them from the other side!"

The reboot started off so well, then it flushed itself down the toilet.  I tried to binge watch it, but after the first season, it Meh'ed itself, then just slid off into what had to be "the writers are all on drugs, and the producer is taking double doses" WTF land.

Hopefully this reboot stays true to the first version, or at least the first part of the reboot.

All those who weren't a Cylon last time, are Cylons this time, and they're going make ALL the cast gender fluid, so it'll be non-stop tits and arse (synthetic and real).

Considering the kwality of the writing, it really was Lost. In Space.

I think the director should collaborate with Mel Brooks. Mel is 94 years old and we need to get Jews in Space done before it's too late!

IIRC the upcoming TV reboot is supposed to be distantly related to the previous TV reboot.

Not sure what this movie is about.  BTW, Simon Kinberg has a mixed track record. Wrote & directed X-Men Dark Phoenix, wrote and directed some scenes of X-Men Apocalypse, wrote X-Men: Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past

I absolutely love the nonchalant way that Hot Dog says "Well, this ought to be different".

born_yesterday: Beedeebeedeebeedee!

Funny thing: last night out of nowhere and for no reason I can think of, my wife asked me something and my response was "Beedeebeedeebeedee OUT OF SIGHT, BUCK!", and she asked me where that came from (in my mind, not what show) and I was like "IDK, it just popped into my head". The shiat that rattles around inside the squirrel cage after 40 yarons, I don't know what else to say.

I am disappointed we never got a campy (yet gritty) "Galactica 2012" with flying motorcycles.

"Battlestar Galactica is one of the holy grails in science fiction,  and I couldn't be more excited about bringing something new to the franchise, while honoring what's made it so iconic and enduring," said Kinberg in a statement.

I don't know who this guy is, but he's got some amazing weed.

it did give us one pretty good episode: "The Return of Starbuck"
