Darkness, BTR, River, Nebraska, Greetings, Wild, Tunnel, then I don't care. I probably listen to Hammersmith 75 more than anything else now, though he's pretty far down my playlist these days.

I'm good with Tunnel of Love at #3.

I'm outraged that E Street Shuffle is only #8.

1. The Wild, The Innocent (my all-time favorite album by anyone)
2. Tunnel of Love (this is one that really need to listen to from beginning to end, and not just a couple songs)
3. Nebraska
4. Born to Run (objectively his best album, a true masterpiece)
5. Darkness
6. The Rising
7. Greetings
8. Born in the USA
9. The River  (I grew to appreciate this much more after the full-album 2016 shows)
10. Wrecking Ball, or possibly Lucky Town

Boned Don in a denim towel, the first dick I took was when I hit the ground.

The Hammersmith show is great, have listened many times.  Pretty easy to find, the best easily located show (though not officially released):  Winterland 78.  But as a clearinghouse, the 4 disc Live '75-'85 is better than any of his individual albums.

Can't believe how much people are into Tunnel of Love, never seen that from anyone *but* critics.  Maybe I need to check it out again, been a few years.

For those who don't know, I just found recently his Live Series.  Available on Spotify, especially welcome was an entire album of live covers.

Winterland is 15/16 December 78? Yeah, those are great, I like the 7/7 Roxy show as well. The best shows from the best tour.

His Live in Dublin album is fantastic! What a show to have gone to.

For me, Darkness is a perfect record, one of my top 3 or so of all time.

Born in the USA is Bruce's absolutely perfect pop record. It isn't timeless like some of the others because of some of the 80s production instrumentatand  choices, but I'm not sure it could have been any other way at the time.

Born to Run is what it is and it's great. They played it in full the one time I've had a chance to see them and it was magic

Whoops, hit post accidentally while trying to fix the Born in the USA section.

I love Wild Innocent and the E Street Shuffle and Nebraska. They can go as high as anyone wants. The River has a lot of magic... and a lot of pretty extraneous Darkness outtakes

I think Ghost of Tom Joad and to a slightly lesser extent Lucky Town are criminally underrated.

I think Tunnel of Love and the Rising are overrated, though I love songs from both.

What's amazing is that you could substitute about 5 of his albums in your first sentence and nobody would bat an eye.

Every American should listen to 41 Shots (American Skin).

Ghost of Tom Joad should be on that list.  It's great storytelling.

This. Also, there are no bad Springsteen albums. Human Touch is probably his weakest album, but the problem is that it is just good and not great.
