There are some white women who have done me.  I think that is pretty good.

Mrs Spacemonkey-66 went full pumpkin spice around the beginning of the month 😵.  I agree with her, fall/early winter is my favorite time of the year however.

I feel for you. I can't stand the smell of pumpkin spice anything. Gross. The whole idea is bullshiat.

As a white woman, I've loved Fall since before it was cool...

Can we host a roundtable discussion with Jezebel writers and Bill Burr?  I feel like we could really come to an understanding if we did that.

TFA starts out illustrating their claim of a uniquely American stereotype with a picture of a British singer.

Once you get out of your early 20s, you understand that every facet of consumer culture is a manufactured narrative.  And that's cool.  All of a society's traditions and stories were invented.

These are the kinds of articles that turned me red in my high school days.  There is no need to connect past atrocities to women taking selfies in the fall.

You want to push a new generation toward the right wing?  Keep writing these articles, lefties.

I hope you are suggesting that we need to smash the socioindustrial system so that genuine and actual small-scale culture can once again exist.  I like smashing things.

As long as he could be honest and do all of his material, it would be hysterical.

Only the good things. The bad things were invented by the media and the government to control the sheeple.

That was pretty irrelevant, even by Jezebel standards.

Jezebel cares about clicks and ad revenue. They dont give two shiats about race or racial issues, rather they care about the money outrage makes them.

Welcome to the internet

That sucks, dude.  I spent high school days going to parties, hanging with my friends, and having sex with my girlfriend.  I didn't have time for shiat like this.  I wouldn't even know where to find it.

Well, I was actually able to both read articles and do fun things during the same period of my life, but you're right.  Sometimes I forget that some less fortunate people than I just don't have the mental wherewithal to do both.  I wholeheartedly apologize for my insensitivity.

Your first juvenile attempt at ostracizism landed at least a little since it played off something I said, but this latest attempt is just you making shjt up so it's just a whiff.

This is the stupidest thing I have read in quite some time.  I know a lot of people who love fall, or spring, or winter, or summer, who cares???  Like you are going to equate commericalization when you see a thousand women wearing bathing suits every summer in every magazine?  I am so sick of all the bs surrounding non-issues.

There is a friggin pandemic going on, an epic political battle, and all you can write about is why white women love fall?  Give me a break!  As a white woman, sitting home working on a computer, the cold rainy shiat going on outside is just making me want to take a nap, wake me up in spring.

Meh, every season has its advantages and I know people who love different ones. Our primary reasons all seem to be about the weather and what you can do in it. But hey, don't let us stop Jizzabell from pissing all over the seasons and claiming that they're some sort of advertising scheme to screw over minorities.

/I feel sorry for people who live in places that don't really have seasons.

Agreed.
But, like the guy with the little peener said when he took his pants off on his wedding night...
His new wife saw his little tallywacker, started laughing, and said
"who are you going to satisfy with THAT?"

To which he replied, smiling and pointing to himself
"ME!"

That article needs to come with a flow chart just to understand the point she's trying to make. Apparently hand knit beanies and you pick apple places are destroying fall by reinforcing the sexist, racist Puritan hegemony? Is that where she's going?

white women might like fall more if they dressed for the actual temp rather than to look cute for their selfie at the pumpkin patch or apple orchard.

I got a chuckle out of the first few paragraphs before it got super serious. They did nail the stereotype pretty spot on. The white "I love fall" girl aesthetic is almost borg-like in it's ability to consume entire populations.

It's ok, I have an "I love fall" friend and also an "I love fall" sister. And yes, I do make fun of them for their penchant for turning into an avatar of autumn on sept 1 and not giving up the gilmour girls and pumpkin spice until january.

I'm a white girl who likes fall. I can still like fall if I don't go around buying lattes and taking selfies, right?
