Let me guess, they weren't arrested.

The only people who should be entrusted with protecting polling locations are those hired by the actual elections board.

NOT the campaigns.

"The Campaign did not hire these individuals nor did the Campaign direct them to go to the voting location."

I'm pretty sure I recall some orange asshole telling them to go "watch" the polls

Wow. The article was incredibly light and devoid about any steps the city or state made to get rid of these guys. Hmm....

How soon until one of these Trump humpers carrying out Hair Fuhrer's order of "standing back, standing by", decides to get trigger happy? I'm sure a Biden/Harris shirt will be as threatening as a hoodie and the moron will say they were standing their ground.

They were "standing back" near the entrance "standing by" in case too many libruls got in line?

Florida actually has laws on the book about voter intimidation. Also, guns at polling places are illegal in Florida.
I tried to see if any actions were taken against the armed Trump goons that had time to set up a tent, pretended to be official poll security, and lied to law enforcement and election officials that they were hired by Trump campaign.

Apparently,  they were asked to leave. I'd like to thank law enforcement for pointing out that laws do not apply to certain people.

It's already been forgotten than only two years ago there was a mass shooting at the Capital Gazette in Maryland after repeated Trump tweets on the media being the enemies of the people.

There is a long pattern of him inciting violence.

As if (unfortunately) you didn't already know the answer.

Trumpists commit crimes and are politely asked to stop.

Oh they weren't hired by the campaign. Trump and his underlings use intermediaries to pull dirty stuff like this, or they hire an outside contractor, like the Bratva. No licensed security company that isn't some tiny operation would take a contract like that. It's a good way to have their license pulled for having their guards break the law.

\they should have been arrested
\\or at least tell them to pack their tent and get out before they were arrested

The Campaign did not direct Donald Trump to say those things and cannot, in good conscience, be held responsible for the actions of the Candidate.

"Voter intimidation, deterring voters from voting, impeding a voter's ability to cast a ballot in this election is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in any way shape, or form."

They left out the word "illegal"

Dudes...that's not a thing. And Donnie isn't going to get you laid, any more than those nifty outfits. Have you just thought about being better humans? Because I can't help but think that more than half of your problems are caused by just being sh*tty humans.

He farking told them to go there, he farking told them.

Was it individually directed? No, but I wouldn't expect a General, even a shiatty racist one, to speak to each soldier he's sending on a mission.

"The sheriff and I take this very seriously," Marcus said. "Voter intimidation, deterring voters from voting, impeding a voter's ability to cast a ballot in this election is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in any way shape, or form. So we anticipated many things going into this election. Not only cybersecurity, but physical security and we had a plan in place and executed that plan."

Apparently, the plan is to do nothing.

What about the trump bomber mailing bombs to every prominent liberals and "enemy" of trump? I believe dude was homeless living in a van covered in trump stickers.

There should have been an ad that showed news clips of all the violence his supporters have caused interspersed with clips of trump inciting his followers to violence. Then ask is trump really the "law and order" president?

Everyone knows they weren't hired by the campaign

Hired implies being paid and the Trump campaign doesn't have the money for that

He mailed bombs to people like the ex-President. He only got 20 years. If he had been black, it would have been a tour of gitmo before being put before a firing squad. Watch, when Sayoc gets out of prison, he will be a hero to them and will encourage them to do the same, mail bombs.

"They are lying about who hired them and what they are doing here. No I'm not in a position to ask them to tell the truth, I'm just the sheriff!!!"

Y'all are playing fast an loose with the term "at the polling location."  When I was a younger Mr Teenager, we'd go hold signs to encourage people to vote and had very clearly marked lines.  I want to say it was about 200 yards from the actual polling devices.   If they set up just across that line and are legally carrying weapons, there's dick all the cops can do about it.

This is exactly why I voted early, so I can show up and stand in the same spots with large ostentatious video equipment.  I actually believe in the system, as flawed as it is, and I believe the system is suddenly starting to work better because we opened electronic eyes everywhere.  The eyes of Justice are blind, because forced government monitoring leads to over policing, but creating witnesses that can volunteer evidence everywhere is amazing for justice.

One of the problems is that young kids, especially young men in their mid-teens and early 20's, are preferred candidates for Military service specifically because they (as a group) tend towards natural aggression that can be easily steered by propaganda, that being a form of social pressure, including their preferential sources for information. Rittenhouse was basically a moron with little formal education, no real, safe cultural reference points and no moral structures outside of the things his parents taught him. He had already been suspended and expelled from at least two schools because of his attitudes. His lack of that natural ability to stay out of violent conflicts was already pretty well-known by school administrators and the local Police in his town. He liked getting in fights, he liked being that guy who could push people around because he could convince them that he was a "dangerous person".

He had been more or less trained from a very young age to exert those aggressive tendencies and that turning the other cheek, so to speak was a moral failing and a sign of personal weakness. His cultural references came from right-wing propaganda, his parents encouraged his violent tendencies and that "system" of law enforcement and general education that should have helped him learn how to be an adult about violence didn't have much effect simply because his parents specifically taught him that the opposite was true and that schools were about "leftist indoctrination".

He probably would have made a decent Soldier or Marine, given the chance to mature enough beyond that post adolescent feral stage.

Of course, he could just as likely have ended up being another Omar Mateen or George Hennard.

Before y'all start with the out of date jokes about St. Pete being full of old farts who were going to vote for Trump anyway.  It's not.  The story says this happened in downtown St. Petersburg, which is about as close as you can get to Florida's version of Portland.

To clarify, I didn't mean this as a slam on either Portland or St. Pete.
I mean that these armed goons probably picked that spot to intimidate the local voters in a very dark blue area.
