For all the crap he gets, Eli Manning's career would've been a lot worse in San Diego.

"SHould Trevor Lawrence pull an Eli Manning?"

Does this Jest team look at all like it won't have the 1st overall in 2022, either?

When Jets start winning GRRM will finish his book.

Le'veon Bell left the Steelers for the Jets "not for the money, but to win a championship"

The Jets haven't had a QB that pretty since Willy Joe.  Maybe he'll bring them luck.

To be fair, he's going to get that championship with the Chiefs.

I kind of remember the narrative of Andrew Luck going back to Stanford for his senior year is so he wouldn't be drafted by the Carolina Panthers, who ended up choosing Cam Newton with the first overall pick.

Also, Justin Fields will be eligible for the draft next year, so maybe someone should pass this info of avoiding the Jets at costs along to him as well.

They should trade down, draft a stud O-Lineman and go for the #1 pick in 2022. Right now that franchise is a hot mess and no rookie QB should be subjected to it until they have their shiat together.

/firing Gase would be a start
//maybe the GM too

Jets haven't been in the Super Bowl since I was one month old.

The ownership is a mess. Woody Johnson calls coaches at home to suggest plays, but what he suggests is "You need to pass more."   He's an idiot rich kid (fourth generation Johnson & Johnson heir).  The team will never be good until he's gone.

Every single year the number one pick is probably going to be the worst team in the league from the year before (unless there was a trade or something weird like a big upset win that was a fluke. The Jets right now are a disaster, but I say get the payday and trust that you have a chance to make a name for yourself on whatever team it is.

he needs to be a raider.

If only they could come up with the ammo to make the trade...

Joe Douglas has been there just over a year and is pretty clearly not trying to win this year. Why fire him?

That's what I was wondering, not being familiar with the franchise beyond them being a punchline. But I understand where they're going. Gotta let the old house burn down before putting in a new one. He'd be a fool if he let Gase stick around after the season is over.

Looking back it's hard to argue that they didn't both make the right call.  They both went on to play full careers for their respective teams and both won two super bowls along the way.  And no one wants to be the next Archie Manning.
