I haven't thought of the SCOTUS as big 4th Amendment champions in quite a while.

Oh, "poaching."
Try a GIS for "jacking a buck." Should be some interesting results.

I'll save you a click - story is nowhere near as sexy as the headline makes you think it's going to be.

Is deer jacking like when the Southpark kids were "milking" dogs?

2020-10-21 12:57:09 PM
Deer masturbation. That is all.

Is that anything like "milking the dog"?

illegally hunting at night, or "deer jacking.''

Oh, you mean "poaching", unless you are a dumbfark from Vermont, I guess... *shrug*

I've never seen that movie and by all accounts it is terrible.

However, I have seen Roger Ebert's review of it, and it is fantastic.

I see that very few Farkers have ever lived in the country.

The most remarkable part of the article was at the very end:

Vermont Fish & Wildlife Commissioner Louis Porter says even though the full Supreme Court declined to hear the case and Bovat's case was upheld by the state Supreme Court, he says his wardens will heed the high court's advice. "We will make sure that we are taking into account the opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court in making sure our procedures and policies comply with that," Porter said.

Guess I've gotten too used to agencies saying "Fark you, make me" when their practices are called into question.

/not that they're actually going to anything different

I don't know what kind of perversions you need to have to make it all the way to the SCOTUS, but I'm not gonna stand in your way you farking legend.

I saw it in theaters tripping balls on some decent gel tabs you used to be able to get. It was the greatest film ever made, and you should not listen to Ebert on this one. The scene of him rolling around in a dead deer carcass is such a perfect metaphor for the human condition, its perfection second only to the part where he stuffs his face with cheese as he voyeuristically watches a horse being masturbated.  You need to expand your horizons.

Whatsamatta subby, plain view exceptions to the 4th no exciting enough for you?

Do you think the police should be able to walk around your house and peer in every window looking for a reason to skip a warrant?

Actual headline was fark ready failmitter.
"Court urges caution in Vermont deer jacking decision," was the actual article title.

They are saying it's not worth any further consideration which is to say that they have considered it on a high level view, and discarded the notion that it merits a hearing on it.

That's weighing in... Here's another one for you: Telling someone you aren't going to dignify a remark with a response... *is a response to said remark*.

Ultimately the weigh in translates to "It's ridiculous" which it is... to the point we are dedicating this thread to making jokes about it.

Since my teen-age daughter ended up with a crossbow bolt through her leg thanks to a "deer jacker" illegally hunting in a city park, we've had reason to get to know game and fish officers in AR and KY.  They have all been remarkably helpful and reasonable.  (My daughter is good.  Proud of her scar.  Deer jacker is still free and funding a charity to defend illegal hunters.  Grrr.)
