Operation Diligent Valor in Portland has been so excessive and substantial that visible munitions residue and sediment have accumulated in and on Portland's streets, sidewalks, curbs, bioswales, stormwater system, buildings and standing water,"

It's easy to trash a place you don't normally live in.

Last I heard a lot of locals were suing them as well because of adverse long term effects. Women were claiming their monthly cycles were all kinds of messed up, and when some people looked in to it there were no studies done on long term effects that were at those levels of exposure over that extended of a period of time. Effectively, they conducted a non-consensual illegal long term exposure study on the people of Portland of the effects of OC gas and other irritants.

They're likely to lose that lawsuit I imagine. Hard to justify the city has legal authority to just conduct such an unethical experiment on people in their own homes.

I'm really curious what their department budget numbers are going to look like for the year, especially since COVID has caused budget shortfalls for almost everyone and the police aren't immune from that either.

Fingers crossed for a Biden win, so a year or so from now headlines like this are limited to The Onion and right wing Facebook.

Abolish the police.

The lie of less than lethal. Different forces using a variety of different chemicals with no coordination or any consideration of what the combined effects are and no possible accountability for it?  If they were doing that to your water they'd all be in prison.

But it's okay if it's domestic.

Loopholes like this is why atrocities can happen on a daily basis.

IOKIYA (RCNP)...

R - Republican
C- Chinese Communist Party
N - National Socialist Worker's Party
P - Pro-Slave (as long I'm not the slave) Confederacy.

Sad to say, I didn't organize them alphabetically but they are all equal in my eyes.
