Smart bosses hire people who are better and smarter than they are. They give them guidance and respect but leave them their heads and even their hearts and expect them to use them.

In other words, the do just the opposite of what bullet-headed CEOs and pointy-haired bosses do.

Smart people are all different and have new things to bring to the table.

If all your evil minions are telling you the same old things, no more than one of them is needed. If they are echoing your crap, you're the one not needed.

But even that they are terrible at - I mean, they do have lots of *experience* breaking the laws. But they do it so poorly that it's embarrassing to watch!

Agreed. I suppose I should have said - best at breaking the laws and the worst at getting away with it.

Good idea. Instead of an election, we should just have a lottery. Then we know the president will be lucky, because he just won the lottery.

What an irony, that Scott Adams is so vocal in supporting the very model of a pointy haired boss.

But he's not even that. In that image Trump should be off to the side somewhere playing cheating at golf, talking about how people come to him all the time and say, "Sir, you are such a good boss. Probably the best boss ever," (I don't know, it's just what people are saying, believe me), and meanwhile the person he hired to sit at the desk in that image is reaching over with a scissors to cut the rope and picking the pocket of the person pulling it.

Just so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. Because it seems they keep referring to him as just a "fundraiser"

In 2016, Broidy served as a vice chairman of the Trump Victory Committee, a joint fundraising committee between the Donald Trump campaign and the RNC.[27] In addition, he served as a vice-chairman of the Presidential Inaugural Committee.[28] In April 2017, Broidy was named one of three national deputy finance chairmen of the RNC, along with Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen and the businessman Louis DeJoy.

Well, I'm sure it's just a few bad apples.  They have a tough job to do.  They aren't all bad, that's just the radical lame stream media talking.  It's too soon to talk about reforming the cabinet and administration.

I'd rather rewrite that as "Smart bosses hire people more skilled than they are in the specific areas they're being hired for". Obama is smart, but doesn't know everything. So he hired people with specialized expertise for various roles and listened to them.

Trump wants people who will praise him and do what he wants even if what he wants is detrimental to the operation of the department. And Republican leadership in general wants people who will tear down departments and make them ineffectual. He succeeded.

It's hard to beat Nixon. When your attorney general has his own wife beaten, drugged, and kidnapped to prevent her from talking to the press, you're truly in the big leagues.
