Damn I miss the old voting machines that had a single lever to vote party. There is not one single name with an "R" next to it that is good for this country. I don't want a one party system but after these 4 years it will be a LOOOONG time before I vote for another one.

whidbey: Her stupid "religion" tells her that women should be submissive, her stupid political ideology tells her that not all rape is "legitimate" and that women shouldn't speak out against sexual assault.

Since i haven't been watching the train wreck, I missed that part. Last I heard the biggest issue was that she was one of thsoe who believe in having lots of kids or whatever.

whidbey: Stop playing Devil's Dumbshiat.

No, I'll never stop challenging you on shiat. I will stop or admit it when I'm wrong, like i just did here, but I'll never stop calling you out on something if I think it's stupid/weird/don't get the hate.

So you aren't going to stop making obvious comments you shouldn't really be making or believing.

Hokay.  Free country.  Unless we get more drumpf.

Shouldn't is subjective. I can only believe things based on what I have personally read, seen, heard, experienced, or been taught. If I have no information to the contrary at the time, I'll go with the best information I have at the time.

As far as challenging you and playing devil's advocate, though, I don't see it as any different than you calling me out when I irrationally dislike or distrust politicians for whatever reason. The statement I'm responding to seems illogical or absurd to me, and I'm trying to offer an alternative view or position to, you know, talk about the subject to try and understand it better.

Again, if I am arguing about something that is stupid because of facts that I don't know, then as soon as I do know them, I'll generally drop it and admit I'm wrong.

You know, because I'm a farking adult.

Either way, though, I'm not against learning new things and I'm happy to get new facts and data because I don't know everything.  If I'm saying something that I 'shouldn't really be making or believing', well, show me facts on how I'm wrong, and I'll shut up.

I did show you the facts.

Barrett is every bit as bad as Kavanaugh is, and you still don't seem to get it.

...you apparently missed the point where I said "oh, i missed that information, my bad"?

More efficient, less fuss. A more civilized method for a more civilized age.

Jeez am I the only Farker ITT that is Pro Life(sentence) I mean sure there's a lot of them but we could take some decomissioned missle silos or closed mines and convert them into dungeons.

Fark that, why should I have to pay to feed them when they couldn't be bothered to feed poor children.

Who said anything about feeding them?

Starvation counts as "cruel and unusual" punishment.

Does it really though?  I'm willing to bet that you could find a couple of lawyers who would argue in court that it doesn't.

Just take a page from the GOP playbook and drag it out through the courts for a few months;  maybe send the prisoners for some unnecessary surgery too.   By the time the courts are done with it (and you've ignored any ruling that you don't like, forcing them to go through the courts to get orders to follow the orders you're ignoring) the question resolves itself.

"We believe in it. We believe it's a bill that represents the views of Republicans, and Democrats are attacking Republicans for not doing something on this coronavirus," said Sen. John Thune (S.D.), the No. 2 GOP senator. "What we're basically essentially saying is work with us."

The Democrats want to work with them  It's called negotiation.  The House passed a bill and now they have shown willingness to negotiate it down.  The Republican concept of "work with us" is here's our bill, now vote for it.
