Of course not - that would fly in the face of the 'ever-the-victim' strategy

I do it every night:  especially after meatloaf.

I hate those goddamned Cascade commercials.  Who the fark runs their dishwasher daily because it uses less water than washing dishes in the sink?  Talk about a stupid argument.  Mine is overflowing, with cooking utensils, Tupperware lids, and smelly sponges jammed everywhere before I run it off.

Well ya know, Trump needs 7 flushes since he's full of shiat.....

Pincy: No farking way Trump has ever used a dishwasher in his life, or even put his own dirty dishes in one.

neither did his mother. I read Mary Trump's book. Even though she was a poor Scottish golddigger who latched onto a rich man she quickly acquired a fark you I got mine attitude.

Scut work was for the lower orders. So was raising children.

Wtf?  How can someone this stupid only be down 10 points or 5 past the margin of error ?  He has done pretty much everything to try and lose.  Insulting everyone even his supporters, troops, religion.

Apparently a potato could run as a Republican and it would be neck and neck.

I actually had the wife request a new vacuum one year for Christmas. It was one of those Kirby's.

Years ago when I was maybe 12, my dad got my mom a vacuum cleaner hose for Xmas. Mom always had a short temper but that day was great. I thought she was going to strangle my dad with the new hose. Us kids were howling with laughter which did not help matters.  Dad left the room and came back with her real present. Everything was cool then and we had a good day.

Yep.  They'll vote for anyone with a pulse who agrees with lower taxes for the rich and protecting life until delivery.

Basically, IMO,  they are voting for the republican platform.

Which Trump completely threw out and replaced with "OOGABOOGA!" at the convention.

So yeah, I don't get it either.  It's trending towards cult-like at this point.

Is the potato "pro life?" Because that alone guarantees at least 20%. Stalin would poll well if he was pro-life. And yes, Evangelicals would bend over backwards to defend Stalin's record of slaughtering millions of his own people, and being a communist, while crowing about his "pro-life" bona fides.

My dad has been biatching and moaning about the loss of incandescent bulbs since...  well, since whenever CFLs started to take over.  He actually bought a giant stockpile of incandescent bulbs before they pretty much went away.

I'll grant him that CFLs are awful, and especially the early ones.  But he was still whining about it as recently as a year ago, talking about how stupid it was that he couldn't find them anymore and he was stuck with CFLs.  Then he came to my house, and asked where I was able to get all the incandescent bulbs for all of my lamps that looked so great.  "Dad, they're LEDs.  They are getting pretty good, and my energy bill is a fraction of what it used to be, especially after I replaced the bathroom halogens with those 10W LEDs.  Went from 400W to 40 for the bathroom lighting, which is great since the kids tend to leave the lights on."

He looked kind of stunned, and then said, "Those bathroom halogens are...  LED?  Wow."

He was a bit skeptical, and started asking me questions about how much they hummed, and how I dealt with flicker.  I told him the dimmable ones sometimes hum if you start them at a low power, but it goes away once they warm up.  I also told him it's been three years since I changed a lightbulb.  He now uses LEDs himself and I haven't heard him biatch about it since.

I am sure that there are still people out there that get all bent out of shape over lightbulbs.  My dad is a Trump guy, but he's at least finally come around on the lightbulb thing and stopped being annoying on that one issue.  Baby steps.

Speaking of 'bulbs', you're just not a bright one, are you?

Try Lowes:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/GE-100-Watt-Dimmable-A21-Light-Fixture-Incandescent-Light-Bulb/3400510

Or Home Depot:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Bulbrite-100-Watt-A19-Frost-Tough-Coat-Dimmable-Warm-White-Light-Incandescent-Light-Bulb-12-Pack-860874/305910194

Or Wal-Mart:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Philips-149716-100-watt-A19-Silicone-Coated-Rough-Service-Light-Bulb/319449959

Even Amazon has them:
https://www.amazon.com/Frosted-Incandescent-Service-Medium-Lumens/dp/B07PMLVKBK

There's a few good sources.  Now, vote for me.

Here's the thing... fernt is going to vote for the Trumpster fire anyway. He knows good and well he can find incandescent lightbulbs. I... actually don't know what he's on about here other than to make others vexed at random internet stupidity.

The answer is right in front of you - it's because the other choice is so awful.

The truth is that Biden is the only Democrat who ran who was even halfway close to normal, and he made the race much closer by inviting Sanders to alter his platform and making Harris his running mate.
A bookie would take bets on him not finishing his first term, making Kamala president, and she has allied herself with every kooky idea she thought it would take to get the nomination herself.

Just wait until Trump realizes that refrigerator manufactures have started moving away from through-the-door ice & water dispensers because the hole in the door causes so much cold air lose that they can't make up elsewhere. Oh, and those high falutin' Europeans had the nerve to say "just open the damn door and get some ice, it isn't that hard, and we did some tests, the few seconds its opened a handful of times a day still requires less energy than the hole in the door!"

FTA:

Donald Trump has suggested that his administration's actions on dishwasher pressure meant women supported him.

Without providing details on policy, the US president told supporters on Sunday that "the women come up to me, the women they say dont like me, they actually do like me a lot".

And that, said the Republican candidate, was because he "freed up" dishwashers to dispense more water.
"So, you go into a hotel or you buy a house, and they have what's called a restrictor," he told supporters in Nevada. "[The] same thing with your dishwasher, I freed that up too."

In an apparent reference to environmental standards that his administration rolled back, the president said dishwashers had a problem until his intervention.

WTH?  Is he taking drugs before his speeches?

2020-10-20 1:32:12 PM
To be absolutely fair to him (mark that down on the calendar, I don't do it often), Republicans biatch farking constantly about environmental regulations ruining all kinds of shiat, like water pressure, toilets, lightbulbs and the air, you know, by making it more breathable. They hate all that shiat. They liked it back in the 1970s, when the air pollution here was like Beijing on a bad day now, the lightbulbs put out a shiatload of heat while using up a surprising amount of electricity and every toilet used 15 gallons a flush, or something like that. Apparently, not wasting as much energy as possible is for pussies and spending more money than you need to on electricity makes your dick bigger.

So I'm sure one of his stupid farking minions wanted to keep him away from anything problematic (ie, everything else) and told him to focus on environment stuff and gave him a few stupid talking points to yap about so he wouldn't whine more about Fauci or Hillary Clinton or the stupid, failing Hunter Biden bullshiat.

So for him, this counts as ALMOST comprehensible. Almost.

Most all dishwasher are a time based fill. This is figured by the normal average water pressure to the home and the size of flow washer in the inlet valve. Adding more water, per cycle, than is needed to keep the pump supplied with water would not help anything.
Four tips to make a dishwasher work better and last longer :
1 Prime your hot water line to the sink before use
2 use liquid, powder, or gel detergent, pods are not right for dw's that have 2 chambers in the dispenser
3 load heavy items, on the top rack, to the back, and
4 prop the door open with a towel to let air out in between use. This helps the racks and door gasket last longer.

Fireproof: xrayspx: I've never understood his "it takes 7 flushes now" argument and the light bulb thing about how LEDs suck and make him look weird and now we can have incandescents again.

Like, on what planet?  I've had two new toilets installed in the last decade, one of them in 2016.  They're fine.  I also had a case where I had one incandescent and one LED recessed can light on the same switch.  The only visible difference between them was that the LED took a split second to turn on.  That was nearly imperceptible.  LED lights are pretty danged awesome now and you can choose whatever color temp suits you.

This is George HW Bush levels of out of touch.  These are Trump's "guessing at the price of bread" moments and people aren't seeing it somehow?

It's part of his whole "grasping at straws to come up with reasons to hate environmentally-friendly things because they're left-wing" shtick he does.
