That's not that bad. All you have to do is wait for the store keeper to look away and take it, as you do in Lucas Arts games.

How appropriate, subby fights like a cow.

I loved Loom. I'd buy that remake in a heartbeat.

It is very important to link only to your own website's articles and not the vendor in question. So biggly.

I remember getting stuck so many times, infuriatingly so.

Why, that's the 2nd most expensive gaming anthology I've ever seen!

Oh wow, disk 22, even among MI fans I wonder how many people would get that joke (or even remember it)?

I could do without the extras, though Disk 22 would be neat.  I think I can live without the other particular pieces of junk.

I didn't even know there was a fifth game.. Off to snag a copy it seems.

5th one is from 2009 by Telltale, which means it's episodic.  I'm reasonably certain I've played it, but at the same time I can't remember having done so, which is a common problem with Telltale games.

$160? Nice try, Guybrush.

Given that it's 11 years old, I assume all episodes are complete? I have never dealt with Telltale games.

Yeah.  Here it is: https://www.gog.com/game/tales_of_monkey_island

Telltale is okay.  Just not that memorable in the long run.  Compared to the original games that I can practically recite by heart.  Except the fourth one.

They also made some episodic Sam & Max games if you liked the original LucasArts Sam & Max Hit the Road.  https://store.steampowered.com/sub/7967/

Incidentally, the Sam & Max ones contain the only bit that stuck with me, the War Song:

Or you could buy them bundled on Steam for $25.46 and spend the USD$ you saved on hookers and blow.

Or Mountain Dew.

My money is waiting for a remastered Sam and Max Hit the Road. It's my favourite Lucasarts game.

I'll spend money on this to satisfy my inner 12 year old during pandemic lockdown. I was also willing to spring for the re-releases of Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, and Day of the tentacle, but I have no desire to own a game console.

Dammit. I hit "Add..." rather than "Return".

I was also going to say $160.00 is the cost of dinner for two that's just pooped out the next day. It's not a dear price for hours of nostalgic entertainment and extra geegaws.

Telltale made mostly traditional point-and-click adventure games, until The Walking Dead. Then all their games were that one's "your choices matter but not really" games until they ran it into the ground.

I'll trade you two poops for $160

Gotta admit, I'd be sorely tempted just for the artbook if it's got a bunch of Purcell's artwork in it

I've played and like most of the Telltale games. Game of Thrones and Back to the Future were both excellent.

Cool. I know what I'm doing this weekend. And I concur, MI4 was garbage, just for the movement design.

This showed up on my Youtube today, haven't watched it, so don't know how good it might be.  Jumping around, seems to have some interviews and stuff.
