The fake scandal made the real scandal of John Ratcliffe politicizing the IC.

2020-10-19 5:13:21 PM
Is it just me or does it seem like Trump is using the power of the presidency to push out any information possible that is even remotely connected to Biden that he feels benefits him while completely obstructing the release of any information that is harmful to Trump?

Just me?

/where is that unredacted Mueller report?
//hmmmmm
///Court hearing tomorrow to hear the answer about whether Trump's tweets are BS!

You guys do realize that by doing this, you will never be able to bring charges against anyone other than, possibly, the dude who owned the repair shop? The providence of the key piece of evidence is nonexistent.

/ it doesn't help that people are teasing a second laptop; potentially implicating that someone is withholding potential evidence.

Given the IC has already weighed in on the story being Russian disinfo, he's not making any friends at all.

It also destroys any credibility when the claims change during the course of the investigation.  This is why most proper investigations refrain from excessive public comment until the investigation has come to its conclusions that will be submitted to prosecutors for charges.

At this point even if somehow investigators find something real there will be no reason to believe them.  I simply won't believe them, because Trump has lied so much and surrounded himself with so many sycophants and yes-men that basically nothing they can bring to the public even should be believed.

A real investigation would have announced charges, not made accusations that have already seen elements disproved based on obvious amateurish image manipulation.

I can't say for sure any of this is real, but if it is, don't expect a big dump of info at once. It's going to be a slow drip, and the best part is watching all the fan fiction, speculation and excuses happening in between.

Well this thread already received a full, steaming Trump dump. It seems really desperate to legitimize an inexperienced sycophant who was rejected once by the senate because of said lack of experience.

You do one major release when you have solid information corroborated by multiple credible sources.

You do a slow drip when your information is unverified, questionably accurate at best and you want to sow confusion by constantly keeping your releases vague and light.

Oh, and also a slow drip allows for adjustments of the information if people call out the original releases as implausible.

An all at once drop does not allow for that kind of on the fly revision, both because all of the information drops at once and because it is based on actual research rather than on some attempt to invent a scandal.

Remember when the GOP was whining that Mueller wasn't releasing information daily?

An investigation gathers information a DK releases its findings.

A political hit job drip feeds bits of info to make someone look bad.

The Mueller probe was neutered and still resulted in over 30 indictments.  I don't think you're making the point you're trying to make.

The stupid thing is that this is in the news at all. How about blasting the Trumpkins about lying on their security clearance applications. And being gifted many chances to lie further with "corrections". How about Ivanka using daddy's influence to peddle her wares? And can't run charities due to fraud. How about that farking dumbasses?

The Trump kids are way over their heads in shiat, and this Hunter laptop thing is a thing?

Fix your shiat America.

This is the US sprinting towards having 1984's Ministry of Truth. The Director of National Intelligence is the guy/office that makes the President's Daily Brief and who has the overall responsibility for the intelligence institutions and their whistleblowing and source protection.

This guy is supposed to be the most trusted and trustworthy person in the government. And he's just a shill for Trump.

You, and many Farkers, conveniently ignore a principle of mutual exclusivity and fail to understand why adversarial constructs (litigation, courts, and juries) can only produce verdicts, not complete truths.

Your post exercises a tormented logic of premises...

But one scenario does not make another untrue: Yes, Trump has surrounded himself in Yes-Men. Yes, Biden had the political clout to pave a road for his only surviving son to participate in the European theater and threatened Russia's economic stability (the more independent Ukraine becomes, the less control Russia has to accommodate its investments in Ukraine.)

I've known, cordially, teachers from both nations. Young people (20s and 30s) who wish the intrigue of energy policy weren't what it is. A lot of very wealthy families who do want the best for everyone, but have very different opinion of how to get there.

I am shocked that some nobody from East Texas that hadn't ever done shiat, did a summer internship at Romney's camp, then was losing in his first US House race primary, and sold his soul to the GOP establishment - Tea Party Express, Club For Growth (literally their names) - and racked up endorsements to pull it out.

And then was appointed to Director of National Intelligence.

Totes legit career path.

Yer gonna have to shiat on the Nation to make money in politics.   You could also have money, shiat on the Nation and make money as well.  I haven't seen many other options used before.

Trump's loyalist and a traitor to America this dumbass DNI goes on GOP propaganda TV in order to promote a fake scandal manufactured in part by Russians and to add that Russia had nothing to do with it.

Because Trump and the GOP are a cancer eating away at everything still good about America.

I have a suspicion the Russian's haven't gotten involved in this election. But the Republicans already have the playbook and are using the same plan.

Most of the people coming out for the story is to generate traffic about the story making it a story because of the internet and tv views. Specially since they have already disproved the story maybe a hundred times.
Hunter is pretty much all they have left for one. Two was supposed to be Biden's speech impediment. Three was lock her up, only now it's lock them up as in anyone not republican.

This stuff might feed the base but not many people are going to judge Hunter without looking at the swamp kids.

If I was writing for the republicans I would make it so the hard drive in question mysteriously disappears, then you could demand another investigation. Better than talking about the virus and his kids.
