sirrerun: On the other hand, if I had to live in London sober, I'm not sure I would disagree.
soupafi: But protests are ok still right?
cleek: stay tuned for my new soon-to-be best-seller, Darwin Shrugged
Doctoral Candidate Zaius: "Braving" temperatures in the 40s, when a "heat wave" is 73...
Rapmaster2000: Sorry, losers, but some people just want to LIVE THEIR LIVES. While you were cowering in your basement, these birds were getting finger blasted by a chav named Kev.
OgreMagi: I think people are just getting stir crazy. Everyone's been cooped up in their homes with little interaction with the real world for so long that they're becoming more willing to take chances just for the opportunity to do something. That's not even taking into account all the people who've been unable to work and have burned through whatever savings they might have had.
thegreatmurgatroid: soupafi: But protests are ok still right?Rules for thee! Now quiet down while we weld you into your apartment. It's for your own good citizen.
EL EM: i_dig_chicks: Is that whole country perpetually drunk?Could explain a lot.
Tchernobog: Well can the virus survive a high alcohol environment? What if we find out being hammered all the time is the only way to prevent infection? What then? I thought so.
LordBeavis: How did these sots ever have an empire the sun never set on?
StoPPeRmobile: Just kidding. Wear your mask to demonstrate your compliance and submission. Buy Chinese-made widgets for some dopamine and strengthening of china's economy and military might. The only way for everyone to be safe from something that affects a tiny portion of the population is to enable our "future" overlords, not question our orders, and submit with absolute compliance.
Petey4335: Doctoral Candidate Zaius: "Braving" temperatures in the 40s, when a "heat wave" is 73...That sounds like my kind of weather. Depending on the time of year, both are shorts weather.when you get used to 0 to 25 degree degree F for a month or two, 40's feel warm enough for shorts42 degrees F right now outside. Windows open. The breeze is nice./my rigged up 2nd filter (wet rag on the output) on my shopvac blew out as i was cleaning up durrock debris after cutting/fitting the last bits of my living room. Dry concrete dust went everywhere. Wife is out. I really really hope most of it clears before she comes back.
Abox: They're not wrong.
thegreatmurgatroid: Malenfant: thegreatmurgatroid: soupafi: But protests are ok still right?Rules for thee! Now quiet down while we weld you into your apartment. It's for your own good citizen. He was using extremely trashy deflection, comparing protesters to idiots, and you went along with it.Lol no(btw the joke's in your hand)
Excelsior: Londoners decide drinking and partying is more important than livingAlmost -- Londoners decide drinking and partying is more important than YOU living. Most morons seem to assume that THEY THEMSELVES will be perfectly fine, and don't give a rat's arse if their poor choices puts OTHERS at risk....Which is exactly the same reason the US has such atrocious numbers, "mah freedumbs!" trump your right to life.
HotIgneous Intruder: soupafi: But protests are ok still right?Have a nice cup of this tea, kamerade.
Animatronik: If you feel like partying or protesting, google a few stories about ectremely fit people 25 to 35 who either died or wound up feeble and sick months after getting infected. That'll sober you up right quick.
