Just wishful thinking. I've only gotten one prediction right this weekend and I have it 3-1 Spurs. Of course, now that's out in the open it's going to end up a 3-3 draw.

I will be forever grateful for getting to live in London for 3 years and generating my interest in the EPL. No horses in this years race as my favorite team got relegated, Watford, as it was closest to my house. Another team I followed closely was Wycombe, who are finding out how big of a step up it is from League 1 to Championship. Going to be a quick exit back to League 2 for them.

Well I mean they obviously set a high standard after yesterday. I mean they'd called a foul and there was a whistle so anything after the whistle is fair game, right?

rickythepenguin: It ended with a dead fish thud, but Summer 2018 it was pretty cool to see Man U* play at Cardinals Stadium.  We were 2nd row off the field, fantastic seats.  So cool to to see The Special One in the flesh, walking the touchline.

*this was about 3 weeks after the WC ended, so Man U sent the backups as the starting squad.  No Pogba, they held out the GK, they truly treated it as an exhibibion.  the only guys I remember were Mata and Martial.

My favorite live sports memory is still getting to watch Raul live. Sure, it was with the New York Cosmos a few months before he retired, but still a treat.

the game was somewhat unremarkable, they played Mexican team Cruz Azul.  ended in a draw and i think CA got a dodgy PK to equalize.  But still cool

the whole time i was like, "Man freaking U is playing in Cardinals Stadium.  Who woulda thought?"

/local news that night, slow news day, it was the lead story.  they interviewed people that drove down from Denver, flew in from Vegas, road tripped from LA, "I've been a Man U fan all my life but i've never gotten to see them live, this is incredible, we drove 13 hours to see this...."

Spurs played LA a few years back, for a warmup tour.  I wantd to go but.....I'll just keep savign my nickels for a trip to WHL someday.  ( went to old WHL in 2005 and saw a mtch v Fulham.)

Yep, us Spurs fans expect the Spurs to be Spursy, and when they don't get Spursy it worries us. We need them to get the Spursiness done with early, so they can get it out of their system and go back to being not-Spursy.

Well, I was always taught that both feet should be planted on the ground for throw ins. You weren't even supposed to have a heel off the ground.

The rule has always been both feet must be on the ground for a legal throw. I don't know if there's been a change to allow a part of the foot to be up, but they should have some contact with the pitch.

I've been a soccer Referee at the youth level for going on 30 years.  It has always been the rule that some part of both feet must be on the ground either on or behind the touch line.  The only time I ever call an illegal throw in is if it's blatant that one or both feet are off the ground.

Fluke, or are the empty stadiums killing the home advantage? Something else?

If it was just the EPL I might say fluke.
But it is across every league I have seen this stat.

What's kinda funny about the Goodison screwjob (as I'm calling it now) yesterday is that my gut feeling on the match when I woke up before the match was a 2-2 draw. But my betting luck as been so abysmal the last 2 weeks that I didn't put money on it.
