Chimpy McSquirrel: Princip's Sandwich: Valencia just lost to their 2019 squad. Dani Parejo and Paco Alcacer with the 2-1 Villarreal victory.

By the time the season ends, Murthy's going to need 24/7 protection.

I watched most of that game.
The really miss Parejo.

Did you see Kondogbia's social media post? I hadn't seen such bile for one's own club in a very long time.

ClavellBCMI: Yep, us Spurs fans expect the Spurs to be Spursy, and when they don't get Spursy it worries us. We need them to get the Spursiness done with early, so they can get it out of their system and go back to being not-Spursy.

I forget which match it was last year, but my Arsenal pal, before I had a chance to watch the Spurs match (had it DVRd, was on media blackout to watch it "live as far as I know", texted me, "yup, your boys Spurs'd it up as only Spurs can."

Kane only about 6 yards offside.

Valencia might be the most mismanaged giant in world football. They could, and should, be so much more.

Valencia's real problem is Peter Lim.

Lim is what the Glazers aspire to be. He and his rotten daughter say what the Glazers wish they could get away with.

They care enough to make bungled signings for eye-watering sums. Valencia just sold almost everyone. The only poor bastard who wasn't was Kondogbia.

There are a number of PL teams that could use Kondoghia.
Arsenal, Man City, Man U, Chelsea.
And those are just the ones off the top of my head.

The Glazers trust their minions to run things right as long as they still turn a profit, silly owners.

PSG made an approach, but nothing came of it, probably because the ownership said "release clause or nothing".

A lot of footie owners sound like they would love to have a version of the old MLB reserve clause.

Moyes was better when he wasn't there.

As many teams can attest, that's a very attractive quality. That's how Tony Pulis kept getting employed.

Well, I was always taught that both feet should be planted on the ground for throw ins. You weren't even supposed to have a heel off the ground.

The rule has always been both feet must be on the ground for a legal throw. I don't know if there's been a change to allow a part of the foot to be up, but they should have some contact with the pitch.

I've been a soccer Referee at the youth level for going on 30 years.  It has always been the rule that some part of both feet must be on the ground either on or behind the touch line.  The only time I ever call an illegal throw in is if it's blatant that one or both feet are off the ground.

OK, so I was taught a stricter interpretation. Good to know.

There was talk yesterday that he was looking at 7-8 months, which would mean he's done for the season and might be touch and go for the Euros.

From my experience coaches teach younger players to plant their feet because they have a tendency to jump when they throw the ball in.  It's at about U12 that they are taught to drag their back foot to get more velocity on their throw.
