if the canaries got large mounts of money from the mine owner who was making a ton of money off cheap labor that drilled into dangerous gas pockets and once all the precious metals are mined leave a toxic mess of heavy metals in the water in the mine and tailings piles on the surface to blow around and give people heavy metal poisoning (lead usually but my home town was uranium), then yes, a canary is an apt metaphor.

Two governors and a senator so far, very publicly.

Cory is getting close to trying it.  He never mentions Donald on his ads here in Colorado.

My favorite is his ad where he says, "Colorado has two senators, one Democrat and one Republican, and it works."

Sorry, asshole, but you're history no matter how hard you try to depict yourself as bipartisan. You tied yourself to Trump, and you're going down with him.

Governors in blue states where coming out against Trump isn't an electoral risk. And a Senator from a deep red state where his victory is already all but guaranteed (and who was a lot less public in how he did it).

Still no one with a spine in the entire party.

Sasse is the only Republican at the national level I can think of who's turned on him recently.

GOP senator unloads on Trump in constituent call, saying 'he mocks evangelicals' and has 'flirted with White supremacists'

It pisses me off to no end that because the story that Rather ran with was fake, we had zero discussion of Bush's end run around bailing out of the Air National Guard.

100% that bullshiat was a means of killing that particular line of inquiry, and 100% killing that line of inquiry led us to the shiathole of implied consent of where we are today.

My dad used to watch Dan Rather just to cuss him out. The fact that they now agree on who to vote for is as legitimately a sign of the end times to me as if God himself had rod into my bedroom on a Harley and said, "I have decreed that walruses shall save the universe from the plague of Lindsey Graham," and immediately afterward, a walrus had fallen from the sky and crushed Lindsey Graham.

It's a weird year, 's what I'm sayin'.

But still, a walrus crushing Lyndsey Graham.  You could sell that on all of the big 6 media companies at 1 penny per view and still be a billionaire.  I mean, watching Graham get crushed?  I'd throw in 20 bucks for that, easy.

Rats typically exhibit more morals, ethics and humanity than right wingers. They're also cleaner and spread less plague than right wingers. And unlike right wingers, they're not usually terrorists. Though Fafhrd and the Mouser might disagree on that one.

Thanks for that.  There was a similar study recently re: spontaneous genuine empathy and generosity in rats, wasn't there?  Like, saving food, sharing treats, helping out of traps, etc?

Calling t(R)aitors rats is an insult to rats, who, science is certifying, have emotional maturities Repubs can't fathom... and Republican President Donald Trump can't even _spell_.
