They got bigger worries than losing an election...I hope someone from the DNC has made it clear to them no one better be destroying/erasing any records.

I will see a Trump loss when I believe it.

I continue to expect to see a Trump electoral victory -- smaller than his victory over Hillary and again without the popular vote -- once I awaken from my drunken stupor on November 4.

Lest anyone start thinking Biden has this in the bag: Team Trump was poised for a loss at this point in 2016, too.  Don't assume that this time, surely, it will happen.  Make it happen by VOTING, and drag everyone you possibly can with you to do the same.

Unfortunately, the result of a Trump win will be more like a 1 on a 20-sided die.

A few thoughts on this.

Thinking back to 2016 the polls were showing a tight race with Clinton in the lead.  They were in the margin of error, and some of those states flipped probably by virtue of Russian interference, if only by social media.

With that said, many at the time were talking about how the Republican party was on its last leg, because it was still basically a white male party, catering and pandering to the uneducated angry white males of America.  meanwhile, the color of America is changing, and the younger generation does not see the Republican party in a favorable light.  They SHOULD have lost the White House, and in a sense 2018 was a response.  You have basically had a party that does not really represent the will of the people acting without consent, and they SHOULD have become a minority.  But they didnt.

It was unsustainable, really.  They have no new support, they have not made new inroads.  AND, they have pissed off just about everyone...about covid, about recovery for covid, about social welfare, about foreign policy, about everything.  They are going to see a wave of voting, and nobody is going to back down and say "Meh, i dont think im going to vote this time around."

They have made some inroads. Whether that is enough to offset both the attrition from their older supporters dying off and younger people coming of age but siding against them remains to be seen, but they will continue to gain followers because they have outright propaganda outlets feeding people a manufactured reality promoting them as the saviors of the nation and the Democrats as Marxist fascists who will turn us into a third-world nation.

You see the negative impact of Republican rule but that is because you exist outside of a right-wing news bubble that manages to hide as much of those negatives as possible while blaming those that cannot be hidden on everyone else.

As with most terror groups and gangs, conservatives prey on the young, who cannot yet see the shades of grey in a complex and inter-connected world, and the fears of the very old, who can no longer fight for themselves as they once did, and who are fearful of losing what they spent a lifetime building.

Conservatives are no different in that regard from any other terror group of street gang.  And we should treat them as such.

It's not the look on Trump's face when he realizes that he's lost to Biden.

It's the look on the GOP's faces, collectively, when they realize that they're going to be held accountable for their crimes.

It's knowing that, right now, half of Congress is in a back room with the other half of Congress, granting concessions & pleading on their bony, lying knees - not to stay in office, but to stay out of prison.

If ever I wanted Rorschach to be real, it'd be now.

I know we have short-term memories and normal Americans want to forgive and forget.
In this case, DON'T.
Do not reward these enablers who have allowed Trump to be an open fascist while trampling our protections and cghecks & balances. Do not reward Republicans that put party ahead of this country. I've seen hard-right congress critters already trying to distance themselves from Trump's more dangerous positions. DO NOT FORGET THEY WERE NOT ONLY INVOLVED... THEY OPENLY SUPPORTED THIS!

People quickly forgot about W, Wolfowitz, Rove, Cheney, et al.  Because when compared to Trump, they seemed less villainous and human. If trillions of tax dollars and thousands of dead US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan were not bothersome to you, then I can't understand why? I am on the record for being pissed at Obama's referring to civilian deaths as "enemy combatants" after he inherited those non-declared "wars". And still want to see less US global military policing in support of oil money and Israel.

I will never forgive Republicans for Trump. EVER.
Those that helped him have only my scorn.

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime, and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.

Infection rates are rising, and Donny2Scoops is so useful in helping the virus spread that I have to wonder if he owes it a few million $.  If you can, prepare to hunker down and avoid contract with people outside your household to make things safer for the essential people.  Stay home for the Holidays, even though that's a bummer.  Wear your mask.  Do curbside and takeout to help your local businesses.

Biden has responded to accountability during the town hall yesterday. His response was that he, like Trump, are not going to use the DoJ or any law enforcement as a blunt instrument, or for personal use. Rather he's putting the most qualified people he can in the powerful positions, and then let them do their job. Let them decide who should be held accountable.

While that might not be the answer people want... Trump has made very few friends in the FBI or DoJ other than those he appointed who will be gone in January. DoJ will likely be chomping at the bit to reel in the people who strangled their power and embarrassed their legacy.
