I'm a little more curious as to whether it occupies a place of pride somewhere in his house. He's alluded to taking things home with him before.

I would've kept the arc reactor. Free electricity for the whole neighborhood!

I saw part of a documentary on Industrial Light and Magic.  Apparently the suit was super uncomfortable and he was thrilled when ILM was able to make the suit all CGI.

Makes me think of the Clooney batsuit. Dude couldn't turn his head side to side because the neck/head were all one solid piece.

Yeah, I think Bale got the first 'helmet' independent of the cape.

I miss Iron Man. But he should stay dead maybe.

He took the helmet off, duh.

Now that I think about it, was there an actual reason every Batman mask had to be made from rubber? Or was it just the aesthetic that batman never skipped neck day at the gym?

Well I'm more interested in how he would go the the bathroom. I mean a high tech stadium buddy only takes care of one problem. So does he have a hatch in the back, does it go into a compartment and he dumps it later, does he jettison it while he's flying.

Dude, arc reactor. It just gets vaporized, no mess no fuss.

Chris O'Donnell remarked on the set of Batman & Robin that there was this short concrete median barrier that they had to hop over and none of them could do it. The suits were too restrictive. Good for standing and posing, not for running and jumping and fighting bad guys.

I remember an interview with Clooney where he was asked if he did his own stunts.  He said, "Yes. I walked from my trailer to the set in a 50lb rubber suit in the LA desert."

/Keaton couldn't turn his head, either

They probably could've engineered better suits, but it's all about getting the best looks for the cost.
The only one who might care is the actor, and they've been paid more than enough to put up with it.

They changed Christian Bale's suit in The Dark Knight and literally stated this reason in the movie:
