not. even. kidding. als-Kind (well... als-teenager) I had a counter position in the local retailery of my town's chocolate mfgr. they quite literally wanted each of us to taste *every single damned thing* so's we could give entirely honest opinions to the customers. (I also learned how to gift-wrap boxed chocolates with machine-like precision, a skill which survives with me even 30 years later)

and yes, much like Mr. Mash, I was required to wear shirt+tie and a brown-shopcoat (deducted from wages!) at all times.
