I want to see Frenchie successfully employ his gadgets.

And watch Homelander go off the deep end.

And I read the comic spoiler about Noir but I hope they go in a different direction

Another one? This is the first Ive seen this particular complaint.  I will say the Stormfront's character was hamfisted AF by about ep 4.  Was her character like that in the comics or was that something that was the show created for the sort of current times?

I think they laid it on thick because they were resolving her plotline (apparently) this season.  I honestly expected that plot to continue into next season.  If I didn't know better, I'd say the actress must have asked for too much money.

If anything, she was more extreme in the comics.  Garth Ennis doesn't really do subtle.  Like, ever.  I don't think he's physically capable of it.

Well, "she."  The male character she was based on, to be more precise, but yeah.

The Nazi origins of Stormfront were similar in the comic, but was a male. In the comic, the characters of, Homelander and Black Noir had a connection to Stormfront (will not give away anything here, because the story is bloody awesome...). Other differences/similarities: Butchers relationship with his dad is like the comic, but his military origins go back to him as a Para during the Falklands War, and not the SAS. The are other comparisons but overall, the changes to the characters are not too drastic as to take away from the entire story. One thing, is that the Homelander appears far more malevolent in the comic, but who knows what will happen in the TV series. Also, Butcher had no son. There are still so many things that have been touched upon but not yet developed, such as Butcher's brother and military service. Regardless, read the comic, you will not be disappointed, I promise you!

Frothy Panties: Homelander appears far more malevolent in the comic,

Never read the comic, but I like how Homelander has one identified weakness: the need for an audience to love him.  You could see his confusion when Stormfront said that they were almost done with [I forget the quote] making appearances and working for Vought.

I'm sure he's going to be a hoot for Maeve and Starlight to work with next season.

I saw a recent video of Erin Moriarty (Starlight) and she is not looking well. If I were forced to guess, I'd say she might be anorexic. I hope not. I really liked her as Starlight and look forward to seeing her in other roles in the future.

OTOH, she was with Karen Fukuhara, so it's possible that her soul was trapped in a sword or something. That's got to take a few pounds off pretty quick.

Adapting a comic book to a different medium while staying faithful to the source material is hard.  This show does an admiral job.

Now do Transmetropolitan.

Agreed.

Now do Transmetropolitan.

Just as long as Spider keeps his Bowel Disruptor (with the 'Anal Prolapse' setting)

Also deserving of good TV adaptations...

The Invisibles
Rising Stars
Astro City

One thing that felt odd about the end episode was Starlight vs Sormfront. Starlight's power comes from channeling electricity. Seems instead of being blasted by Stormfront, she should have just absobed the energy and been able to throw it right back.

In the comics, Stormfront was as hamfisted as a fist made of ham fisting the arse of a pig drowning in brine.

I'm grateful the series dialed it down a notch and presented an actual story.
