Gyrfalcon: Subby's kids sleep with all the lights on.

I used to read bedtime stories like that, it cut down the reading to about 15 minutes a night.

Not if Covid kills him before the election.

Aquapope: Subby needs to record my answering machine message:
"In  a world where Aquapope doesn't want to answer the phone, or is perhaps fighting for our brave Antifa forces in the Jungles of The District of Colombia, but is likely passed out drunk with his head in the refrigerator, you will wait for a beep.  You will leave a message."

KidGoat: poconojoe: nice job subby. out of curiosity - what kind of mic and processor combo do you use? have to get around to setting up a home studio, and want to do something different than the SM7B/528e combo I have now

An enhanced and acoustically treated Whisperroom booth, Sennheiser MKH-416 mic, Apollo Twin USB interface, using the Manley VoxBox plugin raw. Some light compression added to the audition before it was sent out.

nice - thanks for the info. I have a similar type voice and delivery and was curious what you used to get your sound. haven't done much VO work since I left radio, but have been debating investing in a nicer setup and trying it

good to see FARKers that do voice work like that

A few months ago, I lurked a PolTab thread where a bunch of Farkers turned out to be sound engineers. And now in this thread I see a bunch of Farkers who are voice artists. Slowly, a pattern is emerging: I believe Farkers are shadowy figures controlling the media. Prove me wrong.

Their words on that are pretty specific, and absolutely reek of military purposefully specific statement 101.  Acting if Two Scoops won't get his stink out of the White House after the election isn't getting involved, it's going about their lawfully specified duties, which they are required to do by the Constitution of the United States yadda bladda.  That would just be considered doing their job - not intervening.

This reminds of an old TotalFarker, Smilin' Jay, I think?  Used to always participate in the Audioedit threads.  Anyone remember him?  Radio DJ in real life IIRC.

There's some damn good artists and writers, too.  We could form a media empire... but that just smacks of effort, doesn't it?

Dibs on "guy who puts the tapes on the top shelf"!

With blackjack!  And hookers!

Awww, forget the whole thing.

(I figure there is little to no call for spinnaker trimmers in a media empire.  Then again... Ted Turner.  Hrrrm.)

I was a sound engineer for quite some time. Live, not studio. But still...
