As a hubby myself, agreed.   The boobs never make the movie.   Now a movie like Nobody's Fool made Melanie Griffith's boobs somewhat famous for a minute, but only because it was a quality movie.

I never saw the movie, but my understanding was that it was something of a cautionary tale about the wealthy.

Tom Cruise is a rich doctor, who feels that poor people are insect to be ignored?  Well, he gets invited to party with billionaires, and finds out what it's like to be on the other end of that.

They took 400 days to make that? I mean, Kubrick of course. but...

Those 2 were probably at the top of their earning potential during that period, or not far from it. And they gave up all the opportunities to make up to four different 90 day shoots? It feels like either art or ego could be the only possible motives.


/Obligatory Fark content: I have 3 AM in one hand, and Nicole Kidman in the other. Cart racing isn't going to be my go to move. Motorboating maybe...

He crashed the party, but yeah other than that, just add a ton of boobs and you're pretty close

The movie can be about a lot of different things depending on how you want to look at it.

It's not terrible but it isn't definitive about anything.  You're left to make your own conclusions but it's kind of all about your own baggage that you want to haul into it.

I have watched a lot of shiatty movies in my life, but "Eyes Wide Shut" isn't even laughably bad. I'd rather watch a marathon of all of Ed Wood's films than sit through that turkey again. Hell, 2 hours of footage of Tom and Nicole riding go-carts around would be more entertaining
