mr intrepid: Just a guess?  English is not the authors third language, much less the second.

My guess would be: German - Swahili - Klingon - French - English as this particular chain of translation.

By the time you reach age six, you should know that people don't care about fractions of years.
"Four and a half years experience, eh?  And how much of that time was vacations and holidays?"

The amusing thing is that Mike Judge thought it would take 500 years for the media to get to this point.

I honestly thought, given the name, that the "style" was intentional, like they sent an article through a translate program and back a few times. But no. Looking around the site, it appears to be at least somewhat normal. This was just straight out farked up.

When I was stuck in the ICU a week and a half ago, I had nothing for entertainment but TV, and it was all broadcast. Not sure how we have channels like the History Channel on there, but there it was. Anyway, they were doing a Pawn Stars marathon of the 'best of'. I like the show the same way I like Antiques Roadshow, just can't stand the fake drama, the dumb arguments and such.

Anyway, they may have tipped their hand re: Chumlee. Twice he bought things without calling in one of the experts, and both were big scores. One was worth like 3x what he paid, and the other was a set of swords that he bought for $750 and were worth like $13 Grand. He may not be as stupid as the show tries to make him look. There were a couple of other times that he went off on history or something and was a lot less dumb than normal.

I respectfully disagree; though many of the articles are somewhat better, there are still some glaring...well...miscommunications.  Case in point - an article about the MCU talking about the character "Physician Unusual".

/I would watch a movie with that character.

I was more impressed that it was with an "online magazine company".
