Do they ever do any research, checking, groundwork, etc. before they decide to do anything?  FFS.  His whole administration is incompetent.

What changed? Putting people's lives at risk suddenly became a bad thing to them?

He didn't stop having rallies altogether, though, some more are included in tfa. One is only 175 miles from the one that is cancelled, that's not far when talking about this virus, and the crowd surely won't be just close-by locals.

Because the Presidunce is an idiot.

Trump replaced the La Crosse rally with one in Janesville about 175 miles away, where the virus is not spreading quite as rapidly, yet.

Article: "The director of the La Crosse airport said the event was canceled due to a lease issue, not concerns over the coronavirus."

^ Twumpy's running out of funds, and the locals aren't all paying for his rally venues anymore.

They didn't cancel because of a surge in cases, rather a leasing issue.

The person who organized was violating a lease that prohibited political events.

The director of the La Crosse airport said the event was canceled due to a legal issue, not concerns over the coronavirus.
A political rally violated the terms of a lease with a tenant who planned to host the rally on airport property, airport director Ian Turner said.
"The tenant was notified of this, disagreed with the City of La Crosse's position, but opted not to host the event," Turner said in a statement. He did not identify who the tenant was.

Trump's entire strategy for life is this:

If he feels an itch, he scratches it

So the person that actually owned the hangar said "fark no not in my building"?

End of a streak?

Its so effed up how Trump never stopped campaigning. He kept up his stupid rallies throughout his entire term instead of, you know, governing.

That mans ego is so thirsty for continual praise and adulation.

Probably because nothing he does ever stills the small persistent voice in the back of his head that reminds him daily what a complete and utter loser and fraud he is.

Just a theory.

2020-10-01 5:57:53 PM
Trump was literally going to fly into the LaCrosse, WI Airport and have a rally there.  A modern-day whistle-stop plane tour, or what he would call "a dog whistle-stop"

He did a rally yesterday that was very poorly attended. I think it was in Pittsburgh.

More likely because the campaign realized that Lacrosse is a college town and not likely to vote for him.

Silly, subby. Trump doesn't care if the people who attend his rallies get COVID and die.

Ask Herman Cain.

(Whoops. You can't.)

I'm beginning to think that pandemic is a blessing in disguise for the US.

/Slight threadjack

Are states in the midwest, south, southeast, northeast & west offering their citizenry the Covid Alert app, that when downloaded, checking in daily, & bluetooth remaining on for notification alerts, that you have come in contact with someone who is covid positive, and you should get tested?

I'm in Delaware and PA has it, and today NJ & NY got it and they're all interchangeable with anyone who has their state's app & bluetooth on.

So if I were to go into NJ, and came in contact with someone positive, i'd immediately get an alert telling me about said contact and to get tested, and given a six digit "you need to get tested" identifier for a testing site or my drs office.

What a coward. What, you don't want to fly into the latest epicenter of the pandemic you totally farked up the response for? You don't want to waddle onto the stage in front of a crowd of cheering assholes while people continue to die at a rate of (let's check the latest tally of deaths per day **Googles**) 1,000 per day just yesterday.

I guess that means that as of end of day today, September 31st, there will be 1,000 fewer people in America because of you. Congrats, you piece of shiat.

Just now heard the WPR story about a rally move to Janesville. Well now there's a receptive audience...it was once a moderately strong blue-collar city. But market forces fueled by Republican corporate racketeers have sent most jobs elsewhere (and likely offshore). However the oblivious redcaps will be over the moon for Dumpy.  Wonder if Paul Ryan still lives there...

He doesn't care about covid.
This is more about the state leaning a bit blue in recent polls, than about covid. You would think that would make a candidate try harder but well...

/Minnesota
//Not complaining about my neighbors to the east lately, they got enough problems to deal with...
///Third for him saying he'll never come back if he loses MN. Lawl.

We should appropriate 'Sleepy Joe' as a nickname for Biden and turn it into a positive. I mean, who doesn't appreciate  a nice nap?

Nope, Biden was here yesterday. Trump was in SW PA September 23, but it was only at an airport in Moon Township (poorly attended).

Surprised he cancelled the event. I thought he was going to stick it to the libs, but I guess those high positive rates scared him away. I wish Evers could do another shutdown, thanks republicans.

2020-10-01 6:42:30 PM
All sorts of possibilities.. he's broke and can't pay in advance in cash for the venue, he's afraid of a small crowd, he's.. actually aware he might catch COVID 19 at one of these things..? Nah.

There are nothing but trump signs from Morgantown all of the way up to Pittsburgh. That area is a wasteland. Not surprised he had a good turn out.

Illinois isn't as a whole using Exposure Notification but the University of Illinois is.
