Does it have to still be frozen? I think I dropped a slice of Totino's behind the sofa back in 1981. Stoned pizza is best pizza.

Papa Murphy's found that one in five people are "hesitant to eat the frozen pizza currently in their fridge" through a national survey fielded in September.

I can't explain why, but this is somehow the best sentence from a media source I've read in months.

In a farked up world, that someone is keeping stats on dodgy frozen pizza is actually what we need.

This is why I Fark.

Aussie_As:

I take it to mean that lots of people's last-ditch emergency COVID food for if groceries and takeout are for some reason inaccessible, which they're reluctant to touch unless they absolutely have to is... frozen pizza. Which makes it the most American thing I've read in months.

Those take and bake pizzas at Aldi aren't all that bad. Walmart sell a similar type. Depending on your oven size, you may have to cut them in half.

They are all in the burbs in Chicago.  I truly hope they open up mini shops in places like Walmart and Homedepot. Hell open up shops inside of Meanard's

Man, I found in the back of a freezer in a cabin that my ex's uncle had a pizza that had an expiration in the late 90's in 2006. I've got a pic somewhere...

those 16" ones in the refrigerator bin, mama-something-or-others? oh yes, they're pretty farking amazeballs for what they are and especially at that price! hmm I should check if I can still get the deal we were abusing, 20-off-50 + free shipping on instacart/ALDI.

and yeah, t'other day we ordered "pan pizza" from one of the standart NE-phila-type subs/pizzas/fried-everything places, and good lord was the crust just awful. like, think: worst lowest level frozen pizza crizappy. and then subtract a few more points. (which is odd, b/c the square/Sicilian white pie from that very same place is wonderful.)

the crust on those ALDI ones is orders of magnitude better. and cheaper!

huh, I never saw this one at our store over the last 3 years! (nor the cauliflower-crust ones neither)

I fondly remember the store brand 8" pizzas with the pepperoni cubes that my great-grandmother used to buy. They were perfect for the toaster oven.

Ah, nevermind. I found the photo. It wasn't pizza. It was a box of Velveeta Rotini & Cheese with an expiration date of '93, and I took the photo in 2007. There was a picture of a pizza a few later in the series that I think I conflated.

Frozen pizza is the national dish of Norway. When you consider how shiatty the fresh pizza is, it's not a huge surprise that people often opt for the much cheaper and not that much shiattier frozen stuff.

/pretty damn good, even better for the price. My grocery store has them for 2.00 for a (14" or 16"?) pie

So in other words, 80% of people who completed surveys from Papa Murphy's have their refrigerators set way too farking cold.  Their milk is probably a block of ice.  But instead of fixing the fridge, the first thing they would gladly do, without hesitation, is eat an ice cold frozen pizza without baking it or even warming it up.

I think the oldest frozen pizza expiration date probably arrived at a Grocery Outlet yesterday so you may be able to win this contest
