Are they expecting a battle (or two)?

Bring back the Touareg
Bring back diesel.
I know I'm a minority in America, but I always enjoyed VW diesels. And I love my Touareg. Over 6 years old and still running strong.

Have... like... many of the cars you've owned not been "running strong" after 6 years?

Article fails miserably for no mention of Rimac.

I had a 2003 Honda Accord that lasted 13 years before the transmission disintegrated. I had another Honda Accord that lasted 4 years before the transmission disintegrated. My wife had a Nissan Maxima that started failing system by system. Dumped it when the a/c stopped working in the Arizona heat. Of course, I was driving 150 miles/day (4 days/week) for work.
I've had other cars, but I've traded them in before they became problems. This Touareg the best, and nicest, car I've owned.

Those cars didn't break, they did the smart thing and killed themselves rather than live in Arizona

I had a turbo diesel Jetta in 2003 and it was fantastic.  50+mpg and plenty of get up and go.  Added bonus, it was a manual transmission.
