Love that mumbling, shuffling around autotuned rap stain on top of it.

I wish rap would give up autotune.

Look, you can't sing, that's fine.  It didn't hurt Dylan or Waits.

Questionable lyrical content aside, T-Pain addresses this in his Tiny Desk concert, and proves that he actually has quite a set of pipes despite basically riding the Autotune wave into stardom, then milking it for all it was worth.

I was really looking forward to this collaboration. Then the mumbling rap with autotune turned up to 11 started. What a farking disappointment.

I really like most of Gorillaz hip-hop collaborators, but this one significantly detracted from an otherwise decent song.

I'm just saying like 95% of Albarn's output as 2-D is wistful mumbling so I don't know what the big deal is about more mumbling

2-D's is usually intelligible and not over-processed to hell and back.

I read that as "Godzilla releasing collaborative song..." and got very excited.

As Elton duets go it's better than Don't Go Breaking My Heart and not as good as the George Michael Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me.

So, yeah, it's like every other Elton duet.

I loved it. Screw the haters.

I enjoyed it. Damn good track and a great unorthodox collab. Between that and Episode 6, I'm looking forward to more.

You were not the only one, although I would say I was more puzzled than excited.  Unless it was with Blue Oyster Cult, of course...

I read that headline as Godzilla was collaborating with Elton John and was quite interested...
making the actual article even more of a disappointment

/ Now I am left to imagine just how a Elton/Godzilla duet would go...
// I don't think I have the right combo of alcohol & drugs on hand for that

Dylan and Waits both have voices like duck farts, but they both sing dead on key.
Autotune is for people who literally cannot sing.

Err - as much as I like Gorillaz, and I do, the first statement is not something I can endorse.  The latter, sure usually, and when it is there's a valid hook for it in the song.  But intelligible varies... widely.
