Sorry Shep. Lying for FOX news for years goes on your permanent record as far as I am concerned.

Maybe if you toally nail it for like 10 years I will trust you. Maybe. The stench of FOX should serve as a warning mark for a long time.

He's just worried about the tainting of the Republican brand. He can hang with the rest of them.

Thank goodness.  I was afraid that cable news was *never* going to talk about Trump

Citation needed. Most people who dislike tabloid journalism felt that Shep existed only to give Fox News a whiff of legitimacy.

Maybe Shep will convince a few Republicans that their party has gone off the deep end and bring them back to some degree of accepting non-derp news.

Oh noes!  Joe Biden called Trump an unqualified racist lying clown!  See, both sides are bad!

Hey Trump,
This is bad. Hearts and penises are nearly the same thing. Shep Smith is saying you ripped America's dick right off!

Wait, what?
Shep Smith moved to MSNBC?
Damn, I kinda been out the loop lately.
A combination of COVID craziness and Animal Crossing mostly
Yeah, here's my take on Shep.
Fox News once had a solid line between their hard news division of which Shep was their mainstay and the full on propaganda arm.
Sure they picked the stories they thought would reflect well on the GOP and badly on the Dems when and where they could but they largely left him alone so they could use him as a shield when accused of being what they are and have always been.
Which is to say the designated propaganda arm of GOP. GOP-TV.
Anyhoo, Shep was literally the only person on Fox with anything resembling credibility.
As Fox's propaganda became increasingly unhinged and dangerous Shep would occassionally call shenanigans.
Apparently they are going all in on being a propaganda outlet now and no longer feel they need to hide behind their "fair and balanced" lie.

So... good for Shep is my point here.

I think CNBC is the wrong network. And the format needs fine tuning. But it's interesting none the less.

And what makes you think that someone that was there for the founding of Fox News and has worked there for more than twenty years through all of their lying is good people?

Once upon a time, when Fox News started up, their slogan "Fair, balanced and unafraid" actually meant something instead of just being a punchline. They weren't born evil. They became it slowly over time. Shep for one reason or another, resisted--at least to some degree. How much, only time will tell.

No thanks. His presence helped them spread lies and keep a veneer of  credibility.

"But I was one of the good nazis! I only worked on PR! " is a weak defense.

There are plenty of newscasters to choose from. I don't need to reward one that has been providing a veneer of credibility to FOX propaganda machine for years.
