I work with victims of domestic violence. It is complicated and they'll often work against their obvious best interests due to fear and mental trauma.

Sure they were.  I'm sorry you had to go through that and I understand why you said it.  It would be good, though, to begin the conscious uncoupling process now.  You'll get more money in the divorce and help you during the inevitable money laundering trial(s).

It's worth three minutes to watch the body cam video.  Two things came to mind:  1) They didn't need to take down Parseltongue that hard.  I hate him but he seemed docile and compliant.  2) It's abnormally cold in Ft. Lauderdale this time of year.

The problem is that that was gentle treatment by the cops, if he had been black you can all but guarantee they would have opened fire.

Honestly I think it's stuff like this that needs to be broadcast to the right to show them the problem, because when it isn't their 'side' getting beaten and killed they literally don't mind at all.

I know this sounds to conspiratorial, but what if his "mental breakdown" was an elaborate scheme to get him in front of the authorities in a "legit" manner without arousing too much suspicion from Trump?

Man, once again, I have to voice my displeasure that the only people that are capable of talking to republicans the way republicans talk to everybody else are bunch of neo-con grifters that want republicans to go back to keeping the quiet part, quiet.

He's 6'8", has guns, and there was a credible report of a gunshot before the cops got there. If he was black he would most likely be dead by now. Parscale did get the gentle treatment.

Came here to say exactly this, this is one of the cases where this rough of a takedown could actually be appropriate.

Wife: Remember when we were happy? Back before Trump. You remember that don't you?
Brad: Smack.

Skarekrough: TimeWithWalrus: Maybe he realized the abject horror of his actions and the damage he has done to his countrymen.

Last I heard they were looking into allegations of campaign fraud.

Which leads me to believe there are two reactions depending on the kind of person he is.

The first is that he was complicit in it and benefited from it in which case the goal is to sit tight and watch as to whether an indictment or a Trump win comes first.  If it's an indictment Barr will slow it down enough for him to flee to a non-extradition country.  If Trump wins then it's all about getting pardoned.

The second is that he knows something went on but was told not to talk about it.  He might not have been involved but he knows something is bound to turn up.  He can't run because that'd look bad so he's just a farked up stress ball waiting for the shoe to drop, or not.

He's personally suspected of stealing $40 million from the RNC and being part of a money laundering operation involving $170 million in "RNC donations." Now, considering the NRA is off limits as far as laundering Russian money, his reaction Sunday could indicate he finally figured out who he was really stealing from.

People who just pulled in $40 million in less than 3 months don't usually start thinking about eating a bullet.

He carries a lot of responsibility for putting the orange sack of shiat in the oval office. Maybe he realized the abject horror of his actions and the damage he has done to his countrymen. Becoming self-aware of that would probably cause someone to act pretty nutty.

But no, he probably just freaked out about his own miserable hide and how he probably can't enjoy himself as much as he wants now that he is nestled so close to the bosom of the nest of snakes that call him "family".

There's plenty of Democrats who can. Leadership gets mad when they do, because THIS time they'll get those two suburban votes for every blue-collar worker they've abandoned.

The stress is that he got demoted (without taking a pay cut) and there are rumblings that he embezzled $40 million from the campaign (which a good chunk of the embezzled money was spent at Trump properties which means Trump doesn't care UNLESS he loses and then he will certainly sue Pascale for the entire amount.)
