In Crisfield, Maryland this summer I got an Old Bay hot sauce. It is very good actually.

I've always wondered how much sugar you could put in hot sauce.

Wouldn't it make more sense to make a hot sauce that pairs well with Mountain Dew?

As much as I like both hot sauce and Mountain Dew (quite a bit on both of 'em), I'm just not sure where I'd use a citrus flavored hot sauce.  (I'm not really a fan of the lime corn chips.  I haven't tried the Cholula with lime)

Maybe the sweet/hot/sour would be a good basis for peanut sauce?

weird--my neighbor just gave me some fatalii peppers last week--i'd never heard of them.
strange pepper. good flavor, like citrusy and floral. half a pepper in a dish and it's flavor permeates. the strangest thing is--even though it's pretty hot, it doesn't get hotter the more you eat, just a slow steady burn with delicious taste.

my vote would be for fatalii for the citrus factor.

I need some.  I moved to Rochester, NY and its like they never heard of hot sauce, nor anything hotter than "mild".  Maybe I should drive to the home of buffalo wings: presumably they at least need heat.

If you are referring to Buffalo, go to Anchor Bar there.

Saved.  No idea when I'll try Buffalo.  Probably after next spring (Amazon will have to provide sauce).  Maybe post-Covid.  Weird times.

If the beverage industry is getting into it, watch for Budweiser to soon follow.

Still haven't opened up the bottle I got. Debating on using it for wings or dredging some shrimp in potato starch then deep frying.

? Where are you eating or shopping that you can't find hot sauce in Rochester?

Mostly Henrietta.  Will meander more after spring.  There is "hot" sauce, nothing I've really noticed.
