I rather see Miami win than L.A., but you know that ain't happening.

I'd rather see the Lakers win than Miami, but I ain't sure that's happening. Miami's a good team playing their best basketball right now. The Lakers are a better team (on paper) that still has off nights. I think the Lakers will win it in six games, but part of that "prediction" is based on the fact that I don't want it to go seven.

Still... Go Lakers!

Guessing that if the game goes anything like LeBron's life, it's going to be one of the most embarrassing things in the entire history of his career.  Dude throws the ball into the third row on the first play of the game and that's just a shot attempt.  Micheal Jeffery Jordan and Mario Chalmers and the ghost of Kobe Bryant's helicopter are all sitting on the bench, laughing at LeBronze, wondering who taught this man how to play basketball.

At the end of the game, all of the great second-place finishers in human history congratulate LeBum at mid-court.  Robert E. Lee and Montezuma and the entire cast of the 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers scoff at the man.  "So glad I'm not you right now," says the LeBron who took that Cleveland team to the NBA Finals.  Current-day LeBron can only cry as the Lakers go up 1-0 on the back of his forty-point performance.  What a goddamn joke.

Crap, I misspelled Micheal Jeffery Jordon's last name.  Praise be to Micheal.

I think Miami can win, but they need the best version of Herro, Bam never in foul trouble, and they need Crowder to shoot 35% or better from 3.  And they can never let up from making the Lakers' D chase their offensive motion all over the floor.  They need all of these things to happen, simultaneously, for 4 games.

Tall order, I hope they can do it

Almost forgot:  saw the story about Mark Cuban helping Delonte West.  I was stunned by the lengths to which LeBron had gone to ruin West's life.  Don't ever go near LeBron's mom.

Now I have to wonder what LeBron will do to Cuban's life.  Look for things' to take a turn for the worse for Cuban.  Frankly, I probably shouldn't even be commenting on this situation.

So they keep mentioning how many triple doubles LeBron has this postseason, 4, and they say "which only trails Magic Johnson.  To me, they make it sound like they're talking about a single postseason, but they mean career.

Magic has 30 career playoff triple doubles, Lebron has 26,  The record for a single postseason is 7, by Wilt.  Right behind that are Magic and Draymond Green with 6.

If triple doubles had been invented as a concept when Wilt was playing, he would probably have the career record.  And blocks weren't even a statistic back then.

Good save. Unlike LeBum. He barely avged 35 in the WCF. Heat by 97 points.

Crowder again.  Damn, the Heat look great.

2020-09-30 9:24:55 PM
Might wanna do more than slowly run past shooters and throw the ball away over and over on offense.

Or not, I guess losing Game 1 has kinda been the Lakers' thing to do

2020-09-30 9:26:01 PM
But if Miami continues to shoot 75% from the floor and 100% from 3 for the series, I'm gonna guess they sweep.

2020-09-30 9:27:42 PM
If the heat score more points they are gonna win

2020-09-30 9:30:08 PM
This game feels so slow compared to the previous lakers games, may be the heats plan to kill the pace

2020-09-30 9:30:21 PM
Probably notice KCP in that corner and cover him, maybe.

Lakers kinda take a while on things...bit yeah, part of beating any team is taking away those transition points. The Heat don't turn the ball over and they get back well.

2020-09-30 9:34:24 PM
I just discovered a good browser for my xbox so I can at least stream this on there.

KCP just needs to stay outside the arc, apparently.

Lakers play uninspired and end up ahead, I hope they don't expect heat to keep missing

Lakers finally figured out that AD is huge, very good close to the basket.  Looked like news to the Heat as well

Herro is an incredible opportunist.

Playoff Rondo still in the house.  He's going to be playing for someone in the playoffs when he's 50

I wonder what the career conversion rate is for Lebron on a 2-on-1. It's gotta be like 99%.

2020-09-30 9:50:05 PM
Let's be honest, Caruso is one of LeBron's favorite teammates 'cause he's the one dude in the league with a worse hairline.

I know he is over 70%in the paint and he refuses to take advantage

Lebron is so damned good. I don't tend to watch his games, but when I do I always come away really impressed.  The guy is the GOAT IMHO.

2020-09-30 9:53:36 PM
AD should not be allowed to shoot threes. That's unfair.

AD obviously hit a huge 3 against Denver, and it was great that he could draw the defense out there.  But there are a lot of games and series' (like this one) when it feels like he should just dominate down low, and floats to the perimeter too much.

I know that throughout his time in NOLA, he resisted playing the 5.  What's happening in LA is probably just AD and Vogel being better at this than I am.  But sometimes it feels like he should spend more time near the hoop

Adebayo has a haircut that makes it look like he has the world's strangest receding hairline.  Actually so distinctive that it makes it easier for me to spot him during the game

Yeah.  I was talking about the shot Butler missed.  But this does look more like a Butler foul than a Green foul

Yeah, LeBron was a little late and got the arms up in front of him. That's a blocking foul.

Yeah, I thought there was a chance they'd swap it, but I've never seen it change to a no-call.

Maybe they should do the thing where they can add a foul on those plays where a guy fouls the ball out of a guy's hand off of him and the fouler gets the ball on review now, too.
