"Also, we're canceling your insurance because we're worried about COVID. "

So the meat packing plants knowingly let COVID-19 run rampant in those communities, killing employees and others.  That sounds a lot like a lucrative class action lawsuit, especially since the numbers of those with partial or total disability are much higher than the number of deaths.
However, this being 2020, the anti-socialist crowd will simply expect tax payers to cover private profits, and add those people to Medicaid so they can be ridiculed as "takers".
Did I miss anything?

Just too bad Cheeto is trying to pass legislation to ensure you cannot sue if you get sick at work

The meatpackers didn't cause covid-19, that was China.

To be fair this is mainly Mitch McConnell.  Has #45 done anything requiring much effort in nearly 4 years besides climbing a ramp?
Who knew that placing your employees in serious  danger that could have been avoided was somehow wrong or illegal?

Their already are a number of such lawsuits filed against at least one meat packing plant for this very reason. Specifically, it's using the precedents established with asbestos cases where family members health was impacted indirectly as a result of the worker coming home having worked in the hazardous condition.

At the moment, it's still a little bit of a legal grey area (as is everything honestly) but it's only for related to impacted family members currently.

The big question related to workers is does the hazard poised by COVID fall under OSHA, the department of health and/or department of labor... sadly as governmental departments extremely rarely like to play together; combined with (as far as I am aware) no legal requirements regarding worker safety from an illness all of the impacted workers are (as to be expected in the grand ol' USA) absolutely and unequivocally F'd.
