We secretly substituted the latest keto fad diet with the heart healthy diet, let's see if anyone notices!

"Wesselink and her husband, Jesse, have found success in shedding pounds by adhering to the keto diet."

Jesse is actually burning calories by nailing his side piece regularly?

Here's the thing.  If you're relying on cake to be your healthy food, you're going to be disappointed.  Doesn't matter what ingredients they substitute isn't not going to get to healthy range.

Have a nice apple.

Chips are easier to buy and consume.

We discovered that it should've been the "KETO Diet," where "KETO" is an acronym for "Karo, Everclear, Taco Bell, and Oreos"?

FTA: the ketogenic diet - a high carbohydrate, low fat and moderate protein diet

Answer: The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet.

Seems like a big difference there.

The VERY next paragraph:
"If your body has lots of fat coming in and not lots of carbohydrates coming in, it puts your body into what is called ketosis," a natural metabolic state, Jesse Wesselink said. "So basically, you're training your body to use fat instead of create fat and store fat."
Editors? We don't need no stinkin editors.

So to be clear, your criticism of one diet that is based on consuming more X than Y or Z is that your preferred and reasonable diet involves more Y and less X?

I'm not on atkins, I didn't care for it. When I tried it I ate tons of veggies and berries. If you exercise your carb intake can be fairly high (compared to the assumed <20g carbs a day) and you still are in ketosis.

But presenting "eat tons of veggies" as some kind of baseline and "skip bread and eat meat" as crazy is... Illogical.

/Exercise is obviously a good part of any weight loss or sustaining life plan.

https://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/index.html

It's calories in vs calories out, if you want to go pure weight loss. Doesn't matter where the calories come from, burn more than you intake and you use up body storage which reduces weight. Some foods are better at satisfying hunger cravings, which makes them better diet foods, obviously, which makes dieting easier, but ultimately, it's net in vs out.

Now, your other health might suffer...

Its blocked. Don't care to deal with the drivel. Is it "put down the fork"? Amazingly that works pretty well

My sister who switched to a gluten-free diet told me that its something I should do because its healthy.

She's a farking nutrionist, so, CITATION NEEDED.  Should have been an easy fill, but its been 3 weeks now, and I haven't heard from her.

Keto can be useful for people with diabetes. Gluten free is necessary if you're celiac. Otherwise you're just making your desserts taste badly, which literally defeats the purpose of dessert.
