This is going to be all about him, as it should be, but I just wanted to point out that she's amazing

Nearly everyone has seen her, but most people still don't know who she is and a big part of that is she's a chameleon.  But even beyond the altered appearances, great actor.  I wish actors were paid for talent rather than fame

Inspiring.

My son is five years old, but he will know who this man is. I owe it to both my son and the late Mr. Boseman, as I imagine this is what he would have wanted.

The man walked the walk, and no joke.

More to respect.
More to miss with his absence.

This is America. Where a prestigious university paid "Snooki" more to speak and fist-bump students than author Toni Morrison. Even our political races are all about celebrity and very little to do with actual ability to lead.

I'm also kinda offended at this pay scale extortion racket. "We're only going to pay your coworker what they deserve if you accept less." I think I remember that happening at some normal company too. It's not limited to multi-million dollar movie salaries.

Sienna Miller? Deserves? So he took a 0.000000000001% pay cut. Cool.

Yeah, in America, the only way you're going to get a raise for a co-worker is to pay for it yourself.  The giant company that takes in all the profits isn't paying for that sort of thing.

It was released in November (pre-COVID), and made $50million worldwide on $33million budget. So it sounds like the suits were correct in not putting more money into the project.

Boseman sounds like a cool guy, but this is not an example of it. He was a producer on the film so he most likely had a large piece of the backend. He was a millionaire making a passion project, getting paid less up front is hardly heroic.

Probably figured he wouldn't need the cash much longer. Still yet another example of him being a good person. There are too few out there these days.

Good guy does good things. Not a surprise.

What is surprising is why there is such a shortage of good people in the world? It isn't hard to be a good person. I'd even settle for decent.

First, Chadwick Boseman seems like a genuinely good guy, from everything I've heard.  Good on him for doing this & working as much as he did while dealing with his health issues.

Companies pitting workers against each other is nothing new, unfortunately. Remember when Terence Howard took a pay cut & went to bat for Robert Downey Jr in Iron Man? That worked out well for the studio & RDJ, not so much for Terence Howard though, who got replaced.

In the company I work for they give mgmt a pool for bonuses & let them decide how to spread it out. So even though Bob sits on his rear all day, don't you know he'll be retiring soon & has money issues?  Shouldn't he get something for all his years of service?

So if you want to negotiate or get more, you know they're taking money away from your coworkers & even if you don't it breeds resentment.

In most major companies raises are a zero-sum game; the manager is given a pool of raise money to give out and you can't give someone else more without taking away from someone else. Same with bonuses.

Boss tried to distribute them evenly/proportionally and he wasn't allowed to; someone had to get the short end of the stick.

Corporate thinking is poison.

I'm probably only of a dozen people to have watched Keen Eddie, but damn if she wasn't easy on the eyes in that show.

In all fairness, Terrence Howard has not exactly been a paragon of virtue.  And IIRC, he Marcus Chong'd himself out of the MCU.

Suggesting that a man did something kind for a woman in his industry only because it must have meant an exchange of sexual favors?

Yep, that's completely on-brand for your sh*tty comments. You pollute every thread you're in.

So did they actually give her his cut of those funds, or did they just cut his salary down to her level?

I just realized that Sienna Miller and Patsy Kensit are not the same person. At some point, Miller stole Kensit's identity in my mind.
